Hi Penny,

In the early 80s I was the librarian at Ascension School here in Louisville. I was asked to establish a computer lab and gave the powers that be two choices and fortunately they chose the Apple //e computer for the lab. There was a lot of parental input and they were pretty vociferous about not wanting pcs.

I had a cataloguing program for the //e which was very helpful. But I never got around to automating the library. There wasn¡¯t much affordable library automation software back them. When I left they hired two people to replace me - a librarian and a computer person. That was very gratifying.

You won¡¯t hear from me very often, but know I¡¯m stalking this group, just hoping to keep my mind active and looking for Apple tips. I¡¯m a retired school technology coordinator. I automated 6 libraries on the fly with Apple IIe and a floppy disk drive When I began my start with technology.
