fldigi stopped working on Raspberry Pi
3
I been using fldigi for years on my Raspberry Pi station computer. It worked fine until a few months ago. Since I was having a great time on SSB DX I let it go, but I would like to be able to use it again. Symptoms: The rig interface doesn't work, it will not cause the frequency to change, and it does not follow the frequency on the transceiver. fldigi does not interface with flrig. I tried that as an alternative and nothing. flrig controls the rig fine but fldigi does not "see" flrig. There is no waterfall. It appears the audio is not getting to fldigi. As a comparison, I ran JS8Call and QSSTV (I've forgotten it's real name) and they both decode correctly. JS8Call controls the rig. fldigi is 4.1.20 flrig is 1.4.4 PiOS is Buster Pi is a 400 I have attached screenshots of the rig and audio configurations. I have run out of ideas on how to diagnose this. Suggestions please. 73, Bruce, W4BRU

Flirig stopped working with my FT991A after installing the latest fldigi software
I run FLDIGI, WSJTX, and FLRIG on a Windows 10 Pro Intel NUC. A couple of days ago, I downloaded the latest FLDIGI program, and after attempting to run it, my FLRIG software stopped recognizing the FT991A transceiver. I had previously used FLRIG with the FT991A by selecting the FT991 rig instead of the FT991A, which never worked. I have reinstalled all the pertinent drivers, and I can now run WSJTX successfully by choosing the FT991 transceiver directly. Has anyone else encountered this issue before, and has there been any successful solutions? I own numerous transceivers, and while FLRIG has had problems with several of these units, I've always managed to get the software working. I'm looking forward to hearing back from you. 73, Joe (aka Jose) Berrios, B.S., M.S., RETIRED WB2BWU

fldigi on MacOS 15.2

Hello, I purchased a new MacMiniv M4. Now I am having the issue on my Mac when starting fldigi that I am always bothered by a pop-up message asking for Microphone access. How to overcome it? In the SystemsSetting I granted already Microphone access to fldigi without success. On this net I was reading about: codesign --force --deep --sign - /Applications/fldigi-4.x.xx.app Event this is not revolving the matter. Any help is welcome. 73 Jens

#flrig 2.0.05 Pi3 PTT-GPIO menu?
7
#flrig
I just installed FLrig 2.0.05 on a Pi3B+ running Bullseye. WiringPi is also installed, and the gpio command works. My previous FLrig (1.3-ish) had a PTT-GPIO configuration panel. It didn't work for me, but I had hopes it might in this new version. The panel is missing altogether in the new version. I can select Config > Setup > PTT-GPIO, but it just takes me to a similar menu lacking the GPIO option. Anybody have some knowledge / wisdom to share? Thanks, Eric

Icom IC-7100 USB Driver
16
I thought I had a site providing some serious help on this issue, but, so far, I'm still searching for that site I can't find in the browser history. So. Does anyone have some definitive information concerning installing a usb driver for Linux? In my case, Linux Mint 22. Apparently, Github has something named completely different and unrecognizable regarding this issue. But again, I've lost track of it. Thanks and 73

FLAMP | transmit | add followed by XMIT does not transmit
6
"does not XMIT" means that the transmitter is not keyed, the transmit timer left of "Spot" in the upper right does not come on, the T/R button in the lower right does not change to red, no signal in waterfall. Cancel displays a dialog that I am ending transmit. At this point, "remove" does not remove the file. It appears to do nothing. However if I drag-and-drop a file onto the DnD button and click XMIT, it does transmit. Everything works normally. Sending in mfsk32 with rxid and txid on. I have tried different file extensions and locations, compress on and off, with and without description. File name contains no space characters. File is k2s and opens in FLMSG, view form works.

FLDIGI on Android Question
3
Happy New Year, Folks... :) I tried to install FLDIGI for Android on two devices that run GrapheneOS, which is an AOSP(Android Open Source Project) Rom. If you're not familiar, GrapheneOS has higher security built into it and as such runs Google Play in a sandbox so it doesn't have copious access to everything on the phone or tablet (basically runs as a user level app and not 'root'). I attempted to install FLDIGI on a Google Tablet running GrOS and it errored out with 'App not installed as app isn't compatiable with your phone'. I tried installing it on my Google Pixel 8 phone running GrOS as a test and it errored with the same message. Now I'm able to install apps from the Google Play store with no issues and even sideload from F-Droid and other repositories so I haven't seen this error with any other apps I've used so far (This is the first time seeing an error of any kind). Is FLDIGI actually looking for a Google OEM ROM image (via a specific OS identifying string) because it seems to have a problem with an AOSP version? The APK I attempted to install was version 1.5.0 from the Sourceforge repository. Any ideas? Thanks! Steve Baetz (N2YNQ)

[winfldigi] fldigi 4.2.06.18 test version available at
Hi Tobias, I'll fix the tooltip. I tested for Mid-Latitude-Disturbed NVIS 0 dB s/n; with 0, 1, 2 msec shaping. Did not see any decrease in decode performance. 4 or more msec will effect decode under stressful HF conditions. The shaping does reduce the bandwidth for those situations where that is critical and signal is expected to be strong. David On 12/30/24 16:20, T? via groups.io wrote:

FLAMP "Events"

For which use case is the FLAMP Events feature a solution? It looks like file broadcasting, either intervals or continuous, but why do I want to do that? Seems like a solution in search of a problem ...
