There is an IOS app named "Ham Callsigns" that uses QRZ to lookup callsigns.? I use it all the time and it works great.

Re: QRZ.com application of Android
开云体育Playstore doesn't seem to be able to
locate an app called "qrz.com".? RepeaterBook, QTH Locator
toolkit, Ham Radio - CQ logs, HAMRS logger, etc, but not qrz.com.?
Is it called something different?
QRZ.com is really great - I use it
almost exclusively.? Having an app (vs the website) on my phone
would be very nice.

Re: Problemm running fldigi on Raspberry Pi
I found that with the new Raspberry Pi OS that uses Wayland, FLDIGI runs extremely slow. Even the mouse cursor is slow.
My solution is to switch back to openbox. sudo raspi-config
Select Advanced Options
Select Wayland
Select X11? Openbox window manager with X11 backend
Tab to <OK> and press enter.
Press the ESC key
Tab to <Finish> and press Enter.
<reboot>
I hope this fixes it for you. |
Re: Problemm running fldigi on Raspberry Pi
I have tryed several times with two different RaspberryPi RPi4, manually update also the FLTK to version 1.3.9 (bullseye repo is 1.3.5) but nothing to do. fldigi crashes.
Please, if someone here has a working executable of fldigi for RaspberryPi, post it. TU |

Built and installed on a Raspberry Pi 5 running Bookworm with a Winkeyer.? Sorry to report that it hangs after sending my callsign a couple of times. I have to go to an appointment, I'll get a dump and the status file later. 73, Harry W3YJ On Fri, Apr 12, 2024 at 2:56?AM Dave <w1hkj@...> wrote:

Re: FLRIG XCVR Serial Port
Cliff, AE5ZA
开云体育Kenny,Just go to the prefs and click Update and then choose your serial port again. I do the same thing often. Flrig only lists the active ports as you. Flrig doesn't know if the serial port name has changed so IMO it wouldn't make sense to remember the last port and show it when it can't find it. 73, Cliff, AE5ZA

Re: Problemm running fldigi on Raspberry Pi
If could be useful, I compiled also flwkey.
Same issue, compile was fine (some warnings) but crashes when I run it. Flwkey has less libraries than fldigi, I mean no hamlib, sound libraries, etc, so the issue is related to something else. Another observation, when I initially compile fldigi several months ago it worked, it stopped to run after a while, maybe there was an update in bullseye repository that involved a resource used in fldigi. |
FLRIG XCVR Serial Port
I use FLrig for all my apps (CQrlog, WSJTX, JS8Call, QSSTV, etc.) with multiple radios, each with its own Prefs file. However, how come sometimes when I get an error trying to connect to my Transceiver, due to an unplugged USB or something, the Prefs file for FLrig defaults back to NONE for XCVR_SERIAL_PORT and I have to put back in the "/dev/serial/by-id/usb-Icom_Inc._IC-705... " ???
why can't the FLrig Prefs file stay unchanged if there is a error connecting to the radio??? why does it rewrite my XCVR_SERIAL_PORT setting?? it is frustrating to have to go into the Prefs file and retype the serial port in each time, or navigate to the location in the app, when it was just an unplugged USB or something. At very least could this be a corrected in a future release?? otherwise, I love FLrig, it allows me to have multiple radios use the same apps without having to change the app settings (CAT control settings) each time I change radios. Thanks, Kenny KB9TT Thanks, |

开云体育Hi Dave I note that this dev update doesn't appear as a parameter of the default/generate config script. I assumed this will (hand edited) work but note it does not; ID: Personally not something I'd use, but the NBEMS folks may find it
handy for automated setup. Oh if you were going to look at that
eventually, it might also be worthwhile having (rig) RX/IF
bandwidth setting included. Cheers Bob On 11/4/24 02:58, Dave, W1HKJ wrote:
