FLTK 1.3.9 released on Dec. 09, 2023

We're pleased to announce the release of FLTK 1.3.9.

FLTK 1.3.9 is a maintenance release with minor enhancements and some macOS and CMake related improvements.

macOS is now supported up to macOS 14 (Sonoma).

CMake support has been enhanced and requires CMake 3.15 or higher. autotools (configure/make) and bundled IDE projects are still supported.

We recommend all FLTK 1.3.x users to upgrade to FLTK 1.3.9.

This release does not contain new "ABI features". The ABI (Application Binary Interface) is 100% compatible with releases 1.3.5 - 1.3.8.

The new release 1.3.9 (source and documentation) can be downloaded here:

Changes in FLTK 1.3.9

Highlights in this Release:

? - Support macOS up to macOS 14 "Sonoma".
? - Update bundled libraries to current versions (README.bundled-libs.txt).
? - Introduce bundled image library "prefixing" to avoid conflicts
??? with system libraries.
? - New CMake option FLTK_MSVC_RUNTIME_DLL to select Visual Studio
??? Runtime version: DLL (/MDx) or static (/MTx), see README.CMake.txt

Details:

For more details and information on previous releases see CHANGES in the root directory of the source distribution or directly in our FLTK source repository on GitHub: (as of Release 1.3.9).

Re: qsstv comment

It is quite easy to mix hamlib librares versions. That result is non working system.

You have solved it now but how ever I recommend to use version 4. Best solution would to clone the GitHub source to own computer and compile.
At the moment hamlib is under heavy development and fixes appear nearly daily basis. LOT of bugs are fixed.

New hamlib can be recognised having rig model numbers by 4 digits.

There are instructions how to compile.

As simplified instructions it goes like:
git clone?
Change to cloned directoty, then run
./bootstrap
./configure
make
make install

Some compilation tools must be loaded, running ./configure will tell what packages are missing.

Once it is done it is easy to keep up to date by just change to cloned directory and give
git pull
And then compile and install again.

Before making make install it would be good to uninstall the package installed hamlib. But removing that needs parameter that allows packet manager to remove it without removing all other programs depending on hamlib. That command parameter is different for different package managers.

Easiest would be to install from package but unfortunately package managers are slow to make new releases. Fedora does have rather fast package upgrade cycle.

Paul,

The power level is basically an audio drive level. Normally Wsjtx remembers what it was last set to and comes up with that setting. At least it does that here. No setting I know of to preset to some power level.

Giorgio,

Do you have "Tooltips" on in flrig. On my 7300, which is very similar to the 7610 I get this by hovering over the A/B button:

A/B button:

Left click - Swap A/B as active vfo.
Right Click - Copy A to B, includes filter, BW and mode.
Shift Click - Copy A, freq only, to B.
Ctrl Click - Copy B, freq only, to A

Hello.?
To make equals (in terms of QRG and Mode) VfoA and VfoB (or better Main and Sub) the 7610 asks for a SPLIT button long press.
In consequence of this if (for example) your rig currently have Main at 14.030 and Sub at 21.040 if you push Split button in FLRIG the 7610 applies SPLIT and properly assign TX to the Sub but you're going to receive at 14.030 and trasmit at 21.040.
I think there should be a sequence inside Split function that first of all performes A=B and then invokes Split
How can I workaround this odd situation ??
Many thanks, 73
