Frank First you need to get the proper file. the zip file is for windows. from Linux open a browser search fldigi download. Select source forge, download files - it should be fldigi-4.2.06.tar.gz then

Hi Bill IME a PulseAudio server string is not needed except in special cases. (like connecting to a server on another machine) My first thought is that fldigi is defaulting to another sound card
