I work in a company that assembles electronics. One requirement we have is that the boards have a CAM-file. This is a file in a format as GenCAD, Fabmaster or ODB++. I know Kicad has a GenCAD-exporter but a while ago that did have some bugs (I don't know the actual status). A problem to get those bugs resolved is that it seems there are no free viewers to validate the code.
I just got a mail from a list that contained a message stating a new organisation is started, to promote ODB++. It seems registering with that organisation is free and then you have access to the spec and a free viewer.
Would this be interesting to include in Kicad ?
