MDC File

DON

Hi
I am quite new to Kicad so this is probably something I am doing wrong but,
I downloaded the set of Dip Switches which Damian Mrugala has been kind enough to supply. It had the Lib file , the Mod file and even the
3D files ,but Kicad keeps telling me it cant find the MDC file for it.

Does anyone have the MDC file for these dip switches or do we have to write it ourselves ( and if so how) , or is there somewhere I can download it from.

Many Thanks
Don

It's a file that is created when the library is edited and saved.
Rub PCBnew, open the module editor, select the required lib, then open
any module within that lib then save.

What I suspect is going on, is that you are using the DIP switches in
isolation rather than saving them into your own existing library, if you
did that then the file would have automatically been created.
