Re: DB15 connector symbol
Indeed. For some reason, they all got to be called 'DB', perhaps because the 25-contact size shell was so widely used. And before the high-density range was introduced, the pin-count and shell-size

Re: DB15 connector symbol
Oops; I actually lied. The SHELL size is indicated by the character after the D; turns out that there are multiple pin densities that can be fitted to each shell size. Donald.

Re: DB15 connector symbol
D-submini connectors use the character after the "D" to indicate pin count: Donald.

DB15 connector symbol
Is there anywhere a symbol for the DB15 15-contact connector? I know that I could make one, but its geometry is not simple. -- Signature OOO - Own Opinions Only Best wishes John Woodgate, Rayleigh,

Thanks very much, Andy. That icon is called 'Edit symbol fields' in version 8.0.2, which is a correct name but misleading. It is in fact a BOM, formatted the way I proposed in my bleat about the

I'm still using V 6 as I've been out of action with a long stay in hospital so I've not upgraded for quite a while. The basic problem is that I don't know my left from right :-) 4th Icon from the

Sorry to be persistent, Andy, but I am using version 8.0.2 and I can't find that icon on the Schematic toolbar. It goes Save, Schematic set-up, Page settings, Print, Plot, Paste... I think that the

Top toobar at theb left hand end, looks like a spreadsheet icon Tooltip is "Bulk edit fields of all symbols in schematic" As for the BOM, well that's why BOM / stock control systems cost thousands.

Hey, the dots have suddenly appeared. But also, some spurious short wires have appeared, coming from dots and going nowhere. The imported symbols are smaller than the native KiCad symbols and the

You should be able to do that on the table layout view Just cut and past as required in the footprint field. Andy "John Woodgate" <jmw@...> wrote:

I did? import a LTspice schematic but not sure if it was v8.02 or not. It seemed to work ok except the connection dots did not show up in the schematic.? ?KiCad did know there was a connection.?
