For those of you that are chasing paper such as DXCC or WAS there is no quicker way to obtain these than jumping into the contest arena.? Be careful though as contesting can become rather addictive.? When searching for Worked All States using contests state-sponsored?QSO parties are very good at grabbing that state you have been trying to get into your log.? That being said today happens to be one of the better ones, the 7QP QSO party which to those that don't know stands for the call area number 7 QSO party.? It includes all of the states in call area 7 which by the authority of the Federal Communications Commission, Oregon just happens to be in!? In addition to 7QP, there are also QSO parties in all the states of New England (CT, ME, NH, RI, VT) Delaware (which is always difficult as I am sure only 3 hams live there), and Indiana.?
