Re: Krisy / N6KV needs assistance

+I am off the floor for now, but now I am unable to stand due to my legs giving out. I've?been in the hospital 5 times and the last time the FD have been picking me up off the floor. About a week ago, they came and lifted me off?the floor and it did something. about 3 days ago it started to hurt. I lifted my shirt to find a massive bruise, see photo. It hurts but I'm ok. I need for someone to clear the snow and check in with me. EriK kD6RRR has done a lot for me but he has been busy with his stuff. I had my older brother, who drove 780 miles from San Diego, to help me for a few days. Then he had to go to see his daughter up in Eugene, who had a bad accident on Christmas Eve.?

I need to rehome most of my cats, I have a few 1-year-olds,?Tabbies, and a black one. and a few older cats. I am keeping 3 of my older cats

They (the doctors) do not know what's?wrong but it's?neurological.?

Thanks for the help

I still have them posted on FB for details.
Nail guns with nails ?
Misc. airtools, gages, filters, and fittings ?
?
I am also giving away a half+ 1,000' box of CAT 5 network cable and a spool of 2 conductor telco crossconnect wire.
The crossconnect wire is good for electronics and radio projects, I have used it to build QRP radios & antennas, and lots of other projects.

One way or another, they are all going away by Friday.

Party Tent Available

开云体育

All,

Party Time is shutting down.? They are selling off some of their party supplies.? This includes some of their heavy vinyl party tents.

They have a Eureka brand 20x40 tent available for $700.? Sides are $20 each and 6 would be needed to fully enclose it.? Total for the complete kit is $820.

They also have a 20x20 tent they are asking about $1000 (it might have been $1200) for.? The reason they say this is more than the larger one is it's a newer tent that hasn't has as much recovered.

We don't do a lot of events, so I see this as more of a Field Day thing.? Would it be worth it compared to the smaller 10x10 pop-up tents we've been using?

Here is a link showing what it takes to setup.

Jeff at Party Time said two people can put this tent up in about an hour.

I've attached a couple pictures.? Here is a link as well.? These show examples of a tent setup as a canopy only and with panels.

My question for the club would be is this something we would like to pursue?? One of my bigger concerns is the anchors.? It looks like they need to be quite substantial.? Putting them in and taking them out would be a bit of work.? I don't think there would be any issues setting up at the Fairgrounds.? Setup and takedown may take a bit more overall.

I've never set one of these up so if anyone has input, please speak up.

If this is something we would like to pursue, we would ask for donations from members to make the purchase.? At this time, we have just over $250 or so in donations offered.

Thanks,
Charlie / K7AKT

Re: APRS to SMS to APRS help

I noticed the Hogback Digipeater was back up and working this morning. So I though I'd give the APRS to SMS system another try. And it works! I think being able to send SMS messages to non hams and be able to receive replies is going to be super helpful, especially while out fishing away from cell signal.
