¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have, but don¡¯t know how to disable it but I do select the device type I am using for sound output, whether headphones or external speakers, and it goes away and I think it only happens when I plug external devices into the headphone/microphone jack since it could be both. For example, I have a Blue Yeti usb mic that can double as a speaker due to it having an amp built into it in terms of putting headphones into the jack located on the mic for listening feedback as a musician but I only use it as a mic so I specify it as such.Chela Robles ¡ª Certified Literary Braille Transcriber On May 24, 2025, at 12:19?PM, Simon wong via groups.io <sw877802@...> wrote:

There are usually two ways to do that, but a thing to watch out for in both cases:

First, most of those dialogs I've seen include a checkbox for turning the dialog off from now on. That's probably the easiest way if it's available to you, but see my final comment first. The other way is to keep the application that brings up the dialog from starting. An example is Waves MaxxAudio Service Application, which my Dell wants to start up on boot and which I disabled in Startup Apps. Now for what to watch out for: The above tricks work fine if you don't change what you want to plug in, or if you never plug anything in. However, turning that dialog off will complicate changing what you connect. It may go without saying, but be sure you're ok with leaving that alone, especially if you use the first option. If you use the second option and just keep the application from loading, you can always go back and re-enable it, reboot, make your change of connection and handle the dialog for it, then shut the app back off and restart one more time.
