Hidden Costs shiping from USA to UK

 

I was wondering if any one had purchased a Hexbeam or parts from the USA and had them shipped to the UK.
?
Did you have to pay any sort of duties on them and do I need to add VAT to the potential purchase?

You would have to add import duty, VAT, and the couriers charge. Go to www.g3txq-hexbeam.com and get a solid UK made one.

Hi Chris,

Ive had one and a half of Anthony Hexbeam and while It served me well, I had a number of issues due to being?in a windy and Salt air location.

Had a number of the band wires replaced due to friction from the wind and had to do the tie wrap (zip ties) suggestions to alleviate?tension and friction.

Storm Arewn?managed?to lift the antenna of the mast smashing a number of Arms and sending it into the neighbouring farmers field

Had been speaking to Anthony this?time last year but his lead time is quite large and While I could have repaired it using his spare parts he stated that he was selling them at the time, Ie the parts I needed where pretty much a full hexbeam.?

To be honest I wasn't?thinking?about getting a replacement hexbeam from anywhere but for bang for your buck I cant?seem to find a better antenna.

Thought I would explore options before? deciding which way to go
