help about telnet cluster and qso AD
5
hi i am a new user of logger32 and i am trying to understand its potential day by day before switching definitively, although in my opinion i see it not very intuitive but with time maybe..... i have two questions to ask who wants to help me: 1) how do you align/justify the lines in the TELNET cluster window? 2) the QSO insertion window i find it difficult to insert the contact, i have to use the manual one. in my old log i do not enter the frequency but only the band and mode here it asks me for the frequency and i see the default frequency and mode. how can i vary this window by adding other fields as i like? thanks

Suggestion for Logger32 User Manual
2
First - thank you for all the free support for the fantastic Logger32! My suggestion: In section 8.1 which tells you how to use multiple callsigns, the User Manual correctly says how to switch to a different logbook. The immediate question that comes to mind is "but how do I create another logbook?" What would be great is to add a sentence saying "See section 8.9 on how to create a new logbook." A future AI thing: it's possible to upload a PDF and then ask an AI questions about the PDF (we do this at work sometimes). Currently AIs are not capable of ingesting more than about a 100 page PDF (at least in "chat mode"). The excellent User Manual is well over 900 pages so this can't be done yet. But just imagine if the entire manual could be uploaded into an AI so you could ask it questions! Users could ask their dumb questions (like mine) and it would take a big load off of the heroes helping all of us dummies out here! 73 Mike M0AGP/M4E

DXMap API
3
Hi Bob, I hope you are doing great! I came across this interesting website https://dxmap.f5uii.net/ Just wondering if you consider interesting the possibility of connecting it with Logger32. The API reference is available here https://dxmap.f5uii.net/help/index.html Features Live Keyboarding : While typing the callsign in the log, HamDXMap will be informed, this partial callsign is copied in the RX callsign zone of HamDXMap. You will be able to locate the caller on the worldmap. You can detect any inconsistencies in the situation by looking at the MUF/foF2 curve in the panel. Logged Call : When the callsign is logged, the entire callsign is saved in HamDXMap (client brownser side). A circle with red border is drawed on the map. The display of these points is globally authorised/forbidden by the user with the Log source, in the filter section. DX-Cluster : All the spots coming over wtTelnet (Win-Test DXCluster module) are memorized on your browser in HamDXMap during a giving configured time (Storage depth parameter). User can filter the spot and make a ring be sounded for all new spot displayed. The display of these DXCluster spots is globally authorised/forbidden by the user with the DXc source, in the filter section. 73 Andrea, iz2lsc

Issue with L32LogSynch or...?

#ft8
#jtdx
#log
Hi, Logger32 version 4.0.336 L32LogSyncg version 2.019.8 JTDX v2.2.160-rc7-d2 LogSync flagged with Auto Upload qsos to Lotw upon qso completion. Same flag with Auto Upload qsos to ClubLog upon qso completion So all qsos are always uploaded to Lotw and ClubLog without problems at the end of the qso A popup appears when I work on 60 meters: I am about to reset the complex keys in the database and have temporarily lost track of data for your QSO with (call station worked) on FT8. dbBusy flag is set to False. I have not modified your logbook. Please try this again The qso is not uploaded to Lotw and ClubLog but is recorded on Logger32 Well... I change band, I do not touch anything on Logger32 or on L32LogSynch, I make the qso and at the end the qso is uploaded regularly on Lotw and Clublog I change the band again, I go back to 60 meters and the same issue occurs, the qso make on 60 meter is not uploaded to Lotw and ClubLog The issue only occurs when I'm working in 60 meters Unfortunately I have not tested with WSJTX What should I do to solve the problem? Many thanks and best 73 de Gianni IK6CGO

Macros before starting JTDX

Hello, when I start JTDX from UDP, the written macros work. If I start JTDX from DX Spot, the macros do not work. Delay after starting JTDX does not affect this. Thanks! 73 Vytas LZ2VQ

Logger32 on cloud server ??
Hi, I?m just wondering if there is a configuration option to run Logger32 locally but keep the data files in any remote or could server. That would allow us to run Logger32 on any device, computer or even mobile phone, and access the same and unique log data file. Thank you 73, Maximo EA1DDO

time 00.00.00
10
When I log new QSO, sometimes the log time becomes 00.00.00, even though the computer and logger clock (bottom left corner) show the correct time. The same problem occurs in the TIME window (00,00,00) when I start " ADD QSOS MANUALLY". Same problem on two different PCs. What could be wrong?

IC9700

Hello, I¡¯m currently encountering an issue with Logger32 (QO-100 version). For the past two days, when I open the software, the frequency no longer appears¡ªneither in the Radio Panel nor in the Logbook Entry window. However, all macro commands still function correctly in the Radio Panel. I haven¡¯t made any changes to my configuration. My other Logger32 setups, such as the one for my IC-7600, are working normally. I launch Logger32 using the batch file that allows me to choose the desired configuration. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue. Thank you 73' Thierry tk1cx

CW Machine
4
I have moved Logger32 to a new computer used all of the files from my backup and everything seems to be working fine except that the CW Machine is not available. The key icon and "Show CW machine" under View are grayed out. I am running version 4.0.337 and the cw.ini and cw.exe files are on the Logger32 folder (along with everything else). I tried to open the cw.exe file and got a popup telling me "Invalid port number," mentioning Port 8. In my MK2R, Winkeyer2 is assigned to Com port 8. Any suggestions on what I am missing? 73, Bill K0KT

"User Input Key Clicks Saved"
4
During Logger32 start-up, various little windows pop up on the screen, including one that says something like "User Input Key Clicks Saved". What is that telling me, exactly? At this point, I have typically clicked the icon in the taskbar to start Logger32 and nothing else. I can't see anything in the manual. I'm only asking out of interest, not because there's anything wrong - it all works extremely well. Thanks for a great program, Bob. I keep recommending it whenever anyone asks about logging software. Maybe I should get a cut of the profits... :) 73 John G4DRS

Export to ADIF without QSO numbering
4
Hi Group, Simple question -- hopefully... Is it possible to export a complete logbook to ADIF, but without the QSO numbers. Reason for asking is that I'm using L32 for RTTY contesting -- and yes, it works actually quite well -- and afterwards I'd like to import the contest log into my ordinary logbook. However, if the contest log contains QSO numbers, it causes two QSOs with the same number when being merged into the main log which, of course, contains the overall consecutive QSO numbering. Or maybe there is a better / smarter workaround to this issue...?? 73 de OZ1LFI

Spot comment
7
Hi, when I send a spot with a long comment then it is splitted into multiple dxspots. Dxcluster doesn't like this as the multiple dxspots are considered duplicated. Would it be possible to send only one dxspot with the whole comment? CheckCall - Data Import
6
Hi All I'm struggling with something very simple, which usualy means I've missed something very stupid :-( I have CheckCall by JA1NLX on my Utilities menu and it is configured to auto lookup the call field from the log entry window - mine looks up membership numbers of CWOps and FISTS. This is working as the "lookup for <<CALL>>" window displays the results correctly. In Logger32 I have the USER field 1 set up as: and similarly for FISTS I have User field 2 configuerd: In CheckCall I have "enable to transfer data to Logger32" selected and USER_1 field selected for file1 (which is my CWOps data file) and similarly for USER_2 field for FISTS. My problem is that the lookup works, but the data doesnt populate into my users fields in L32. Can anyone help? Mark G0MGX

Problems with lagging / MMTTY engine
4
Hi Group, Just curious to know... Anyone who have experienced that the software is lagging...?? I have the latest version of the software, and when I'm running RTTY with the MMTTY engine embedded, I frequently encounter lagging. Everything freezes, buttons, spectrogram, everything for say 10-15 seconds, and then it resumes into normal operation. Despite that an ongoing transmission of a macro continues, it is absolutely annoying in a contest. It happens randomly, but it seems that when I right click the mouse to enter serial number, QTH, locator, etc., it often triggers a lag -- not every time, but often. I have tried to monitor the CPU load for Logger32 (i5 processor), and it is quite high (30-40%) when the event occurs. I'm using the microHAM DXP interface attached via USB to the PC. The rig is a Kenwood TS-870 also connected to the DXP via RS-232. The problem only occurs when running the MMTTY engine in Logger32. Running MMTTY as stand alone, everything works flawlessly. Similarly, no problems at all when running fldigi or WSJT. Any idea...?? Thanks in advance. Best 73 de OZ1LFI, Peter

TS870 CAT Control
9
This might be a shot in the dark, but I cannot seem to get Logger32 to talk to my Kenwood TS870. I have tried everything I can see in the manual, but still not getting any where. I admit, I am a total newbie but do have a decent understanding of computer ports and connections. When I look at the debug window, I see it polling the B VFO and not the A. Any insight would be a greatly appreciated. 73 Bill KB0RMS
