Re: Worked/Confirmed Not Populating

Hi Gary,
Yes (and I should have said this initially)? all the rows in my bands and mode table have the Y in them.? I even rolled back logger32 to earlier versions (no joy.)? ?Then I used an earlier Logger32.ini file (no joy.)

I also read through the help file, searched the groups.io, Googled it and all I came up with was talk about not showing SAT QSOs.? SAT QSOs are not an issue for me.? I also recalculated distance and statistics, and rebuilt my logbook.? Did I miss anything?

This used to work for me.? ?I don't know when it started happening, but I just noticed it yesterday.? So any other suggestions to try?? ?I'm out of ideas!

So being able to see quickly what you need on what bands is still most important. Hope you can fix that Bob.

It seems the Template only has enough room for the Valid DXCC award Bands, which is obviously what it? was designed for.?Those bands being selected in the Bands and Modes set up and Y being selected in the STATS COLUMN, if Y is selected in any more bands then the template will add them to the report and screw up.

It would be nice to see all the bands you work in one display, albeit some of those bands are not valid for any DXCC Award. One way around the problem would be to create yet another config for Non DXCC Bands i.e MF, LF and the?millimeter bands.
So my original question :- Is anyone able to modify the template to accommodate more bands? Still stands.

One other crucial function the dxcc-4L32F Template doesn't have is the ability to differentiate between bands, i.e tell me what countries I need on 160m Phone, again this is not what it intended? to do I guess.

So none of these bands now show in statistics.

The Template doesn't seem to like any more than 10 bands. I guess only DXCC valid bands are required anyway.

So has anyone else found this to be the case? Does anyone actually use the Template dxcc-4L32F? Is anyone able to modify the template to accommodate more bands?

Big asks I know.

Glad I decided to move to L32.

Re: "Checking for Excel"

If your PC does not have Excel, or you don't want to use Excel for format/print your awards tables, then you can cancel the check for Excel by doing this:
?
a) Stop Logger32
b) In your Logger32 directory, open the Logger32.INI file with Notepad
c) Find the line [Globals]
d) Add a line under it exactly like this Check For Excel=No
e) Save the change and exit Notepad
f) Run Logger32.

Re: 160M wire antenna

P.S. The receive merit ratio and noise figure is very good.?

Re: 160M wire antenna

For the size I don't think anything beats the K9AY loop. It is a receive only antenna. I use one to listen to AM Broadcast at night in the winter time. It has excellent front to back ratio db20 db or better. You can listen to two stations in opposite directions on the same frequency. I also listen and identify LF aircraft beacons with it. Works great on 160/ 80 meters. Kit also includes a 20 db low noise preamp.
You can buy a small kit from FAR Circuits that has everything you need to build one except the wire for the loops and weather proof box for the outside mounted controller. It listens in 4 directions with two loops mounted on the same mast. The length of the wire loop is seventy five feet and takes up a 30 foot circle. Mast height is 25 feet. Lots of info on the web for the antenna. You can buy a commercially built one but its 400 bucks or more. I like 50 bucks and home built better.
Search K9AY and Far Circuits. You will see a lot of information. W8JI has the technical info on the K9AY also the EWE, flag and pennant antennas which are all suited for smaller property. Basically the antennas act like phased verticals.
P.S. high power transmit with transmit antenna to close will create smoke. My low band transmit antennas are several wavelengths away and have been no problem but 6 meters 20 feet away makes smoke.?

While not quite what you're after, I use a program called RoboMirror; to copy all the logbook, Database & stat's files (24 in total I think) to Logger32 on my other PC.

You would need to set up the Logger32 directory as a shared folder on your network on your second machine.

With the right options selected in RoboMirror all the files copy over with the same attributes so no recalculating of stat's or anything is required.

While Logger32 can be running on the machine you are copying from I would recommend it is NOT running on the machine you are copying to.

Once set up you just run the task in RoboMirror, the files copy over and when you run Logger32 on your second machine it will be in sync with your first.

In principal very similar to using the Zip file method to transfer the files, it's just a little slicker.

Glad they worked Andy.

If there is a CI-V command?(and there are lots)?for it the RCP should be able do it.?

Check out:?

You can also use the macro buttons in the Logger32 Data Terminal window if more are required.

Also, you can have multiple commands under one button, e.g. to go "Split" and?turn on?"Dual Watch" together.

I have attached the ini files for my Logger32 / 7610 RCP & Data Terminal if you want to give them a try and see some of what is possible (CI-V address is the default 98)

Just move yours to a safe place and paste mine into your Logger32 directory.

( If the attachments don't come through they can be found at;?[email protected] | Files?)

BTW, do you use the Voice Keyer in your 7610?

If so, if you select Icom IC-7300 as the radio in the Radio Setup in Logger32 then Loggers DVK can be used to transmit the voice messages stored in your 7610.

GL, have fun!

Hi John,?

Many thanks for your suggestions, that worked like a champ. ?Only got round to trying them last night.?

Interested to know what other things can also be done through RCP??
