Re: Logger 32 Update Error Message
Let me try one more time -- the problem is with a program Logger32autoinstaller.exe. The update is being uploaded and unzipped without error. When Logger32autoinstaller runs it is unable to copy the files that were downloaded into the correct places in the default Logger32 directory. You need to set Logger32autoinstaller.exe to 'run as administrator'. You need to make sure Logger32autoinstaller.exe is not being blocked by your AV software.
?
And, what happened when you followed the instructions to manually install the update? SeventyThree(s).

Re: Logger 32 Update Error Message
I'm an experienced Windows user and have implemented all the items on pages 60-62 or the manual but still get the same error message. I added logger32.exe to my firewall exception list, checked the internet options boxes and was successfully able to download and update the Club log files, ran AL32 as Administrator, and also added debug to the shortcut.? Still get the same message. I could not find a loogger32 update.exe file that was mentioned in the documents.nor find the debug file but i did find this: Deleting C:\Logger32\Rollback files C:\Logger32\Rollback created 11 INI files copied to C:\Logger32\Rollback ADIFModes.txt copied to C:\Logger32\Rollback ADIFBands.txt copied to C:\Logger32\Rollback Deleting \updates folder Downloading version 4.0.336.? Watch the progress bar File will be loaded in 72 64kB chunks 4646346 bytes transferred Unzipping downloaded file Unzipping file: LOGGER32.EXE Unzipping file: LOGGER32ROLLBACK.EXE Unzipping file: AUTOINSTALLER.EXE Unzipping file: QRX.EXE Unzipping file: CW.EXE Unzipping file: ARRL SCRAPER.EXE Unzipping file: FAUXCNTY.CSV Unzipping file: RETURNFOCUS.EXE Unzipping file: US-CA.CSV Unzipping file: FAUXSTATE.CSV Unzipping file: CHANGE DEP.BAT Completed : 11 files unzipped Now going to auto-backup (if enabled) and close Logger32 Which seems to me that the update is downloading just fine but the program isn't.There have been no windows updates and .335 works just fine.? I've never had this problem before, and yes i made two backups of my logbook before I started changing things.. Any other suggestions? Dave WB2PJH |

Re: Logger32 auto-update v4.0.336 is on-line
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Bob, Hi Group!
...it also contains this change: you now can set an individual IP like 192.168.0.123 (instead of 127.0.0.1) to broadcast the radio-status using UDP e.g. to another device which is NOT the same machine as L32 is - like an external PA. I tested that and it works 100%. Now, this tunes the PA in that very moment super quick when you e.g. click a DX-spot. How to do: 1. Activate the UDP-broadcast of radio-status within the RadioPanel 2. Close L32 3. In "logger.ini" (or other inis of your configurations) locate the line "Radio Status UDP IP=127.0.0.1". Change the given IP to your desired one . 4. Run L32 and feel good! Thanks Bob for considering that in L32?s code! It really works fine with my RF2K-amp. Might this be possible for broadcasting DX-spots as well? Usage could be if you e.g. use the software "HamClock" (which is also able to display DX-spots) running on another device e.g. a raspberry you would be able to post the L32-DX-spots also to the other machine which provides HamClock in the local network of the shack. Bob, I promise, I?ll not ask a third time for any other individual IP-setting. Hopefully I don?t ?? :-) 73 de Lenz, DL8RDL |

Re: Logger 32 Update Error Message
Please confirm that you have Logger32.autoinstaller.exe set to run 'as administrator'.. If you do, then try temporarily turning off your anti-virus software. Something or some configuration on your PC is preventing Logger32.autoinstaller.exe?from copying files.
?
If all else fails, you could try the do the auto-update manually. Do this:
?
1) First (always do this first) backup all your logbooks in ADIF format and hide them under the mattress.
2) Stop Logger32
3) Find the \updatefiles folder in the default Logger32 directory.?
4) One of the files in \updatefiles is Logger32.exe (with a create date of yesterday)
5) Copy this file over the existing Logger32.exe in the default Logger32 directory.
6) Run Logger32.

Link to N1MM
Just wanted to report that the N2AMG n1mm bridge ran perfectly all weekend during the wpx contest. We have 6 win10 machines for station logging networked in a mixed cat5 and wireless network.? Also we run a dell thin client with ssd wireless on same network. The thin client runs as station 0 for n1mm as a hot backup log and feeds telnet spots to all 6 n1mm bandmaps.? Running in the background is also Logger32 on the thin client win 10 and is bridged to the n1mm log via the n2amg bridge utility.? Every contact that arrives on the n1mm log immediately also appears on L32 as my main all purpose station log.? Worked perfect.? Thanks to the brilliant guys that made it all happen! 73 Curt. Logger32 auto-update v4.0.336 is on-line
Maintenance release v4.0.336 includes the following:
?
Fixed a Scratchpad bug that prevented adding duplicate callsigns in the list of processed DX Spots.
Fixed a bug adding custom CAT commands when changing freq/mode of an FT-101D or FT-991 radio from a DX Spot click. Fixed a bug that caused errors if QRZ callsign lookups returned non-numeric latitude or longitude data. Added a 'QRZ lookup menu' option to the right click on Logbook Page popup menus. Changes made to improve the cherry-picker if the station being called is using multiple streams.
?
As always, remember to backup your logs. Then backup again. Enjoy.
