As I had said I am fairly new to computers, on the air since 1965 still running Swans. How do I change the Band Plan to add the AM Mode?

Mapping data path to other pc
truckcamper
I was wondering whether it is possible to use a different PC for log files.
I have a number of PC's, and would like to use one particular PC for the log. However, it is not the PC in the shack. I can map a drive letter to a different PC on my network, but Logger seems to choke. Is it not possible? WA1RI |

The files are not zipped but are copied as is. Secondly, unless I missed something when I used the icons you mentioned, I did not get all the files I am now copying. That is precisely why I use the procedure that I do. To insure that I backup all necessary files. Thanks for the prompt reply. Keep the good work. 73...Al...WA8LBZ ----- Original Message -----

The logging part of MixW has a lot to be desired. That is why most
MixW users are looking for a logging program that will interface with MixW. I do not know why Logger should be concerned with this as it is a MixW adif problem as they do not output to other logging programs adif format. I have no problem sending a logger adif file to MixW and use it to know if I have worked a certain station. Keep logger as it is.. It is the best even without all the modes..Also N3FJP contest software adif output works fine with logger.. |

No he is looking for a "Gateway" program that when run with MixW and logger32 open it will transfer the data entered in MixW to the gateway then to Logger32 automatically. I have written such a beast for use with DXLabs. I had talked to Bob about this back quite a few moths ago and he had no intentions of adding the required DDE Inputs (at that time) for Logger32 to do this. 73's Rick N2AMG rellison@... This works fine "if" you are using the frequency in Logger32, but if you just use the band as I do, it does not work. It gives an error and all file are copied to BAD.ADI. I think this because MixWhas an extra digit in the frequency. This is why I wish Logger32 had all the different modes. Maybe some day!!! Joe Ivey W4JSI ----- Original Message -----

Have you actually looked at the ADI import? If you set about loading an ADI

import, after you have defined the file to use, you will see a window that not only shows the actual entry BUT allows you to import CONTEST logs... It is the lowest of the three options. When you select this option a further window opens allowing you to enter the contest name ( which gets recorded in the Contest_ID column of the log. Hi David. If you are running Windows 95, you will need the msimg32.dll file from Windows 98. Tou need to put it in the Windows/System folder. I had this problem too, as have others here. I can send you the file if you wish.

Well, I must be wrong, but I understood the original question as how to automatically populate the fields if the contact was in the log already. Sorry for causing the confusion. I personnally do not use QRZ lookup, as it doesn't give the name in 90% of the callsigns (just the first letter of the name), I don't really care about street address and not all the callsigns are in QRZ database. 73!
