Re: anyone knows...

Andrew J O'Brien

I am assuming that the humour re-grid squares is Bob's impishness. I know that he has been strongly opposed to adding grid square tracking in the past. I am guessing the beta testing team persuaded him to add grid squares and the "get a life" comment was his way of assuring that he did not totally sell out his values.

Maybe we are all having fun with the new Logger32. Except for a couple
slight country database changes, the program is great! It even has a sense
of humor ... i.e.: Check your grid square total ... then check on the little
box that says more information. Mine tells me to "get a life" and there are
30 some odd thousand grids. Guess I do not have enough listed for Logger32,
hi hi.

Hi again.
Sorry for my multiple questions...
I'd like to know if it is possible, if a contact were already done, to
automatically fill the already informed fields like Name or QTH without
using autolookup feature.

Re: Automatic filling ?

Didier Juges

I asked that question before and the answer was no.
I am not sure if there are any plans to add that feature, but it sure would
be nice.

Right now, when I want to do that, I create a new QSO with the same station
then change the date/time/frequency to match the old QSO, then delete the
old QSO. I found it faster and less error prone than copying the name and
address fields into the old QSO.

Selected format is MM-DD-YYYY

this message i have in any format of date. I not understand where is
error?

few question

Valery Andreev

Hello ALL,
For first, excuse me for bad english...
But any way:
I install L32b and enjoy it, but several items do not understand for
me.

1. Try change date field in logbook page. After change and "enter" I have
error message:

Type mismatch: 13-06-2003 does not appear to be a valid date.
Selected format is MM-DD-YYYY

this message i have in any format of date. I not understand where is
error?

2. Try to change data in time field and was informed: Duplicated time and time was
changed to 00:00:01 (from 13:25:44). After exit from logbook, record
with changed time was lost! I was surprised!

3. When i try check QSL as received, i have two way for it: click on
field, remove N, type Y, move from field. Total 4 operations

or

Right click on record, choose Edit QSL info, click on popup menu,
choose Y, click Okay. Total 5 operations.

Where You check 10 QSL it is fine. But where i try check 200-300 QSL,
my mouse think my hand is trembled after big drinking.

Where QSL have only 2 position - N and Y, i think better if this field
will changed by ONE click on them!

May be i not right?

4. Some prefixes change owner with time going. Fop example DM was GDR
and now Germany, EX9 was Russia, now Kyrgyzstan, UJ was Tajikistan, now
Uzbekistan? etc., etc. World changed with every minute. What will changed
tomorrow not know anybody. Change few thousand records manually - it
is stupid work. May be Logger must check date of QSO and put before
deadline to one country, after - to another? I hope it is not hard
work for computer?

How all think about it?

Re: mmtty

Jim Hargrave

I cannot duplicate your problem.

I do not have a laptop but, I have a USB to dual serial port and have tested
both serial ports for Radio control/PTT(Com5) and Rotor(Com6) operation. I
would suspect a setup problem or the USB driver. Also make sure you have ran
Port95nt.exe.

I cant explain why PSK works but MMTTY does not. Something must be set wrong
In the MMTTY setup. Perhaps your port setup is different than PSK setup. I
would suggest you open MMTTY as a standalone and set it up to run using the
USB serial port. If it works there, then Open MMTTY in Logger32 and go thru
the MMTTY setup. This might help you issolate the problem.

If all else fails, please send me (Direct) a copy of your Logger32.ini and
Mmtty.ini and I will try it on my system.

Hello

I have installed Logger32 on my laptop and like to use the
soundcard and one of the USB-ports with a usb to serial converter
cable.
The strange thing is that in the RTTY mode my FT100 goes to
transmit mode immediately but then only the first 4 characters are
being send by the pc and then the diddle is tranmitted.
So I abort the transmission by pressing the escape key.
But then it takes about 15 seconds for the FT-100 to come back in
receive mode.

The strange thing is that in BPSK all seems to be normal.

I would like to use the laptop on my trip to 9A-land in July this year
and make some rtty-contacts from there using Logger as the
logbook programme.

So please anyone who can be of assitance (Geoff???)

Sorting by band or mode from Logger v.7.02

When I first started Logger it was back in V1.07. I enjoyed the ability to sort the QSOs. Unfortunately
I lost my hard drive and when I replaced Logger it was with v7.02. Can anyone help me? What Freeware program can be used for this task. Thanks a lot. 73 & DX John W6UZ (jdgray@...)
