Re: Spot comment
The need is to send spot with more than 30 char?comment?using a single?DX command.? No, the cluster will not remove all excess text, as far as you set the width (i.e. set/width 120) 73 Andrea Il giorno lun 5 mag 2025 alle ore 19:04 Bob via <k4cy=[email protected]> ha scritto:

Spot comment
Hi, when I send a spot with a long comment then it is splitted into multiple dxspots. Dxcluster doesn't like this as the multiple dxspots are considered duplicated. Would it be possible to send only one dxspot with the whole comment? CheckCall - Data Import
Hi All
?
I'm struggling with something very simple, which usualy means I've missed something very stupid :-(
?
I have CheckCall by JA1NLX on my Utilities menu and it is configured to auto lookup the call field from the log entry window - mine looks up membership numbers of CWOps and FISTS. This is working as the "lookup for <<CALL>>" window displays the results correctly.
?
In Logger32 I have the USER field 1 set up as:
?
?
and similarly for FISTS I have User field 2 configuerd:
?
?
In CheckCall I have "enable to transfer data to Logger32" selected and USER_1 field selected for file1 (which is my CWOps data file) and similarly for USER_2 field for FISTS.
?
My problem is that the lookup works, but the data doesnt populate into my users fields in L32.
?
Can anyone help?
?

Re: Export to ADIF without QSO numbering
Try this. 1. Backup your Logbook in ADIF. 2. Import your contest log. 3. Reformat QSO number. (Tool/Database meintenance/Reformat QSO number) 73 de aki JA1NLX

Export to ADIF without QSO numbering
Hi Group,
?
Simple question -- hopefully...
?
Is it possible to export a complete logbook to ADIF, but without the QSO numbers.
?
Reason for asking is that I'm using L32 for RTTY contesting -- and yes, it works actually quite well -- and afterwards I'd like to import the contest log into my ordinary logbook.
?
However, if the contest log contains QSO numbers, it causes two QSOs with the same number when being merged into the main log which, of course, contains the overall consecutive QSO numbering.
?
Or maybe there is a better / smarter workaround to this issue...??

Re: Problems with lagging / MMTTY engine
Hi Bob et al.,
?
Thanks for the many constructive suggestions -- unfortunately neither worked, and this problem was therefore gradually driving me crazy. So, this weekend I decided to uninstall L32 and then start all over. My installation was an upgrade from ver. 3 or from the very early ver. 4, can't remember exactly.
?
Although it is always a pain to start from scratch, it helped -- things are now working flawlessly.
?
Thanks for a nice logging software.

Thanks to all- I really do RTFM but this tidbit eluded several searches.? Gary, you are a candidate for Ham Radio Saint Hood for writing and maintaining that incredible manual.? I wish that most commercial software was one tenth as good as your Logger32 manual. TU to Aki and for Bob for being both? helpful and kind. 73, Dave WB2PJH |
Re: Automatic Capitalizing State Field + one More
Re automatically populating the name, QTH or other fields, you need to use the "QSO mask" feature ... which is described in the?manual in section 6.2.15 ... but I agree it is not exactly?prominent, or is it obvious that we should be searching for "QSO mask".??? I'll try to find the time to make the QSO mask feature less obscure for the next release of the manual.? ? Thanks for the prompt, Dave, entirely justified and helpful. 73 Gary? ?beater/tester &?
