Re: Micro Keyer II and MMVARI engine

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Arnaud. ? I suggest reading two sections in the Logger32 v4 User Manual: covers ¡®sound card digital modes¡¯ in general, and covers the microHAM devices specifically. ? From what you say, you appear to be able to control the radio PTT through the micro keyer II which means you are probably using the correct serial port, speed and commands for that.? ? Your problem with the tones suggests something wrong with some part of the process of generating and passing audio to the radio for transmission.? You can check that process systematically by following the audio, just as if you were tracing a fault in a radio:

Re: Generic QSO Window

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Panos. ? This kind of issue comes up whenever there is a change to the ADIF spec, the DXCC list/rules etc., particularly when changes are disclosed or announced in advance of the due date ¨C which is often not even agreed or specified until later in the process. ? Some of us are excited by the forthcoming changes and keen to press ahead informally, even before the actual implementation date.? An example right now is chasing new DXCC countries on 60m, even though 60m doesn¡¯t formally count for DXCC (yet!).? It¡¯s an interesting challenge, anyway, and fun for those who enjoy that sort of thing.? Another example was the work that went into getting Kosovo accepted onto the DXCC list, and (ahead of the date) planning DXpeditions there to put it on the air as soon as the list was updated. ? Some (like you, I guess) would rather wait patiently for the due date, and for the systems to be updated for compliance with the changed rules.? ? Some are disappointed by or disagree with the proposed changes, feel things should be handled differently, and are generally conservative or risk-averse.? A few may actively campaign against the changes and stir up dissent, for various reasons.? An example here is the DXCC status of Scarborough Reef.? There are personal, historical and political dimensions to it.? The situation is more complicated than it may appear, hence the resolution is not entirely straightforward.? ? Most amateurs, I suspect, don¡¯t particularly care either way.? I doubt they are still reading this email! ? Meanwhile, the poor software developers are pulled in all directions at once AND have to understand and interpret the changes, adapt the software and so forth in anticipation of the due date, while dealing with grief from most if not all the above groups.? It¡¯s a tough life! ? 73 Gary? ZL2iFB ? ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Panos

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI believe the advice still stands, Peter, but as you are (quite rightly!) reluctant to delete the files, and I am not an expert in this area, you may prefer to rename or move them all e.g. to a temporary subdirectory called something like ¡°InsuranceCopy¡± or ¡°DeleteMe¡±, or make just-in-case backups on a USB memory stick before deleting the originals. ? 73 Gary? ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello Bob,Tnx a lot for your quick answer. Trying to follow your advise I found out that I don't have 3 or 4 of those files but 5 (five). Look here ... This is the same for all those isd, isf, isl, ism and isx files. Its always a chain of 5 (five). Therefore ... Before I take any action the question whether or not your advise "delete them all" is still the same? TIA! 73 de Peter, OE3EPW Am 27.07.2021 um 19:35 schrieb Bob:

Re: Rcp
Hi Andy The best I came up with for mine were; LSB? ? $hexcommand FE FE 98 E0 01 00 ## FD$
USB? ? $hexcommand FE FE 98 E0 01 01 ## FD$
CW? ? $hexcommand FE FE 98 E0 01 03 ## FD$
RTTY? ? $hexcommand FE FE 98 E0 01 04 ## FD$
Replace the ## with 01 , 02 , 03 for the corresponding filter.
You would need to use three buttons (one for each filter) in the RCP for each mode. (I could not find a method that did not include the mode in the command) There is also a command with which you can change the width of the currently selected filter;
$hexcommand FE FE 98 E0 1A 03 ** FD$
Replace ** with the required number as per this table: Again, multiple RCP buttons would be required for different choices. Tip; if you only are using one radio at a time open the RCP in SO2V mode, it doubles the number of available buttons. Hope this is of some use to you. 73 John - G7SSE ------ Original Message ------

Peter, your Zone Exceptions database has crashed. Look in the Logger32 directory for these three files:

I is possible you have four files. Delete them all. Start Logger32. It will create new/empty files. Load the Club Log Exceptions file, and the data will be entered into the new files. Ja alles gut? SeventyThree(s).

VIS_DESK_ERROR
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello,I need some help. Since yesterday evening I'm unable to start Logger32. Whenever I click on the Desktop icon Logger32 comes up for a fraction of a second and is immediately replaced by this little error window ... I've to restart the computer and do something else. Logger32 is NOT operational. Previous history ... I'm using Logger32 together with JTDX and/or WSJT-X. Fantastic combo, serves me very well. With one small glitch ... Start sequence is "Logger32" > right click "UDP" > left click "UDP Band Map"> right click "Start" > left click "JTDX" or "WSJT-X". The latter both via Shortcut "On Top" & "High Priority". Both programs start as expected but are loosing connection within seconds to my radio IC-7300. I've to close all the software involved and make a total restart including Windows10. From now on all works fine for hours. Extra note ... That procedure has to be followed every day when loading the combo L32_JTDX for the first time. For the time being no Logger32 at all!! Well, here some facts concerning my station ... Radio "IC-7300" together with a microKEYER II by microHAM Computer ... That's it. Any suggestion to overcome that inconvenience? Maybe there is a trick Bob can advise. TIA 73 de Peter, OE3EPW <oe3epw@...> |
Re: Rcp
Look in the radio documentation for the CAT command to change the filter setting. Then look at page 594 of the help file for examples of Icom CAT commands. The only thing to be wary of is the CI-V address of your radio may not be the same as the examples. SeventyThree(s).

Download the Cat command manual for the 7610 then study it along with the Icom cat commands in the logger user manual . Its pretty easy to do and you should learn how it all works. There are endless possibilities for commands.

Aside from the auto-start utilities, you might also need to check that the particular fonts used in your installation of Logger32 are installed on the new PC.

Oh and if it is not stored in the Logger32 folder that you copied, you'll also need to transfer your log across - preferably doing a full ADIF export from the old PC, then an import on the new one. 73 Gary ZL2iFB -----Original Message-----

You might have to correct any utility file paths in the .INI if they have not been installed in the same file locations. Job done.
