That is possible; I am certainly open to changing the time. People may recall that at first the game rotated between different times.

We would not normally have had a pair of Robots. Harold logged on late and I invited Ritold to fill the sitout; by the time they declined none of the usual subs accepted and we had to go with a pair; Nancy began with a Robot and then lost connection. Lernot went 7-2, losing to Ruise and Lark. Garbot took a clean sheet into the last round, then drew with the pair of Robots that had been half Nancy to post an undefeated 8-0-1. Marudy strung together a lot of small wins, their 8-1 record (losing only to Anbot) scoring under 55%, a rare combination.
?
Board 2 was a superb textbook hand, with a choice between a shaky slam and a fine one that required the correct line of play. Board 4 had a claiming 7NT but nobody was able to find the grand slam; indeed there were only five small slams bid. Saranne were the only N-S pair to bid and make slam on Board 7. Five pairs bid the close E-W slam on Board 15, but there was no way to go down.

I have felt the loss of every regular quite deeply and would like at least to recreate the group we had on Wednesday mornings just before Covid with the lesson/game combination. We cannot have a lesson before the game but at least people can follow my analysis after. People who have drifted away, please let me know what you'd like and when; also maybe please spread this to others who used to play with us but might not see this.

Re: Wednesday Revamping for Next Year

That would have been ideal. Not being able to use my own movements (and seeding system) has been my greatest BBO trial. If we could sustain a Wednesday FTF game again I'd be glad to do so, but the numbers aren't there.

Re: Not Renewing the FtF Sanction for 2025; Is there interest for a game on 12/18?

Club games have to be sanctioned with the ACBL or we can't give masterpoints, etc. Until now, after Covid the ACBL has allowed clubs to renew sanctions for games that have not restarted yet, but next year any sanctioned FTF club actually has to hold the FTF games. We could maybe get a small game restarted Fridays at the Lutheran church but I don't see that game reviving to where we'd need it to be quickly enough to make it worth giving up the online game.

?

Tuesday evening and Friday morning online will be renewed; I hope a third game can continue.

Rick, I don't understand your message. What do you mean by "sanctions". If you could explain what's going on in simple terms it would help. Also, I'm happy to do any kind of changes you'd like to do regarding FTF.

Yes. Tuesday evening and Friday morning online will be continuing indefinitely. Wednesday I hope to retool for the players who have dropped out.

Yes, confusing message, Rick.?
Unclear about sanctions.

Wednesday Revamping for Next Year

Given the large number of players who have drifted away as the online game has drawn some high calibre players, and as those were often the players for whom I did the most good, especially back when I got to use all my own movements, I want to revise the Wednesday game next year (it has not built back up and we have occasional weeks without getting enough people), perhaps as a masterpoint-limited game and perhaps even moving the game from Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. to a different day or time.
