Re: Kilovac relay in MFJ 2020 catalog.
I use the red Opto 22 SSR in my YC156 and a friend is using it in a GS35B amp to switch around the cut off resistor. I got a truck load of them for nothing, years ago, so I thought I might as well use

Thanks for that info, I'll order some and run them as a 500V cap with some safety margin. Carl

Re: Electrolytic Caps.
Derated for 105C = 600 X .91 = 546V Voltage derating (0.91VR) enables 105¡ãC operation BUT only 85C rated, that could be rough when using a high ripple doubler HV PS.

Re: Tokyo Hy Power HL-45B question.
Assuming that the amp is functional, are you sure you that you don¡¯t have it in standby or that it is being keyed properly by the radio. You don¡¯t need ALC when then amp is driven with almost any

Electrolytic Caps.
For those who might be building or considering a HV power supply, Newark currently has a promotional price on 600V 270uF caps that appears to be a bargain.

Tokyo Hy Power HL-45B question.
I recently acquired a Tokyo Hypower HL-45B in excellent cosmetic condition. I do not have a Yaesu FT817 and attempted to drive the amp with another qrp rig @ 5 watts with no alc cable between the amp

Oh woe is me. I have been using the linear with my Tentec Orion quite happily, manually switching the relay not via the rig nor leaving it permanently shorted as when I found it. ?I have been running

Re: fl2100z / Tentec Orion 2
Yes. That is a great solution. I have a 5kVA unit with 10V taps from -40V to +20V compared to the incoming mains. I use it on my AL-1500 and HF-2500 amps. I run them on 230V and they are very happy

Re: fl2100z / Tentec Orion 2
The biggest single issue in this country (Australia) with the 2100 amps and a lot of others, for that matter, is the filament voltage. Due to our 240V to 250V mains, it is always high. With the 2100

Re: fl2100z / Tentec Orion 2
Make sure the Orion cam tolerate the keyline voltage of the fl2100z. Not sure, but you may need a buffer to protect the radio. 73, N0NC Chuck
