Re: Interesting
FWIW, I finally decided to vote with my feet. It got so quiet over there that they had to start discussing the latest FCC band bland/phone expansion ad naseum. Too much crap for my blood. Mod-U-Lator,

Max V rating of a HV lytic
On a similar note After reading through some of the lytic maker's various engineering notes..... some notes will say NOT to run the unloaded V across a HV electrolytic at more than 75% of it's rating

Why mess with 10 smaller resistors when Ohmite makes larger MOF 10M and 100M units?

Re: What's the DC V rating of a 2 watt MF resistor ??
I have considered moving my volt meter to the power supply and make it part of the bleeder string with a variable resistor across the meter. I have 3 large resistors and 3 output caps. 100 uF at 3 KV.

Go to Dale vishay site and get voltage ratings. Many resistors are only rated for 250 to 500 volts. The newer film resistors are lower that the old carbon comp. but more stable. wa1gfz P.S. I have 6-

What's the DC V rating of a 2 watt MF resistor ??
Gents. One of our 0-10 kv HV meters went Kablamo the other day. Consisted of a 0-1 ma meter movement... and 10 x 1 meg 2 watt MF resistors. Unloaded V was 7900 v at the time. We have two identical HV
