Re: Kenwood TL-922-Need a plate current meter.
Hi Bob, Lou sent me a photo, and I am ordering a meter from him. It looks just great. No need for you to go to the trouble of taking a picture. Jim McPhee Placitas, NM W5ABA

Hello Lou, If I¡¯m not mistaken you were active on the Yahoo TL-922 list a few years ago, and we exchanged some messages. I looked for your email address in my Outlook client but couldn't find it.

Plate current meters are not available new. The only hope of getting one is to find someone parting out an amp and selling off parts. ?The only other alternative I know of is to purchase a meter from

Re: Looking for data on an Eimax Y-685A
I have several of these modules, they all use the same tube so no worries there. The cylindrical metal piece the tube screws into is electrically connected to the anode, but the actual heatsink isn't.

The heatsink appears to be 50X the size of the tube.? How much stray C is that heatsink alone going to add to the circuit ? Whether it's the Y-685A? ?or any other tube, I would suggest obtaining at

Re: Looking for data on an Eimax Y-685A
Eimac history shows: 03/73 Y685A is an 8906XAL special, for MCL generator" the -AL suffix indicated a tube made for the Airlines, they used a lot of planar triodes in the past for short range

The YU-106 appears to be a just 3-4 wraps of 3/8"? copper tubing wrapped around the anode. The YU-191B? is the real deal, with the coffee can around the anode.... just like all the other water

Power meter manual
This is a really long shot. I am looking for a user manual and more importantly, a schematic for a "Agikawa APM-1H" automatic SWR and peak reading power meter, 1-8 ~ 60MHz. One is pictured here.
