Sounds to me you would get around 3300 volts DC after a doubler rectifier. ?The .3A is probably a CCS rating so at ICAS that’s probably good for .6 amp. ?In an amplifier running two 3-400 tubes that would be an input power of about 1980 watts and probably 1100-1200 SSB would be my guess. ?Lou

beyond practical repair, which I guess was for twin triodes 3-400z
style, at least based in the sockets used and the filament transformer
which is a 10 VAC CT, 15A one).

This HV transformer has two primaries (115 VAC each, 50-60 Hz), and one
secondary which states 1200 VAC, 0.3 A DC Doubler

How should I estimate the transformer ratings, in terms of power

what would cause an amplifer to draw a small amount of plate current for a few seconds after you unkey the amp. I noticed today that my alpha 77dx was drawing about 100ma of plate current for a few seconds after i unkeyed the amp. i had been running it hard for about 10 min. after i let the amp cool for awhile it no longer drew plate current for that few seconds after i unkeyed. Seems to do it when the amps been transmitting for a long time.? Also it only did it in the SSB position. when i put the amp in CW the problem when away.

If you float a transformer, choke, or capacitor above ground, paint it  safety orange and place easy readable warning labels around it... or  build a shorting bar to take the frame to ground when a panel is opened.

 Next  up  is  to  drill  out  the  pair  of  4"  x 16"  AL  channels.   Then get  correct  length 3/8" SS  bolt  hardware.
 Choke gets  installed  at  bottom  of  new 24"  wide  rack.   Gets  installed 1st.  I  need  all  the  room I  can  get,  to  slide the   asy  in  there.  At  least  the  front,  back,  both sides  are   quick  release.
