Mark, As other have said no need to FORCE just logon to the disconnected ID and you (almost) have control. It will sometimes crash because its built using old GCC run time modules, but at this point

It is one possible way but not the only one. GCIC runs in the virtual machine with a disconnected console. After you are done with editing, you can drop from the dial connection. That leaves GCIC
