Looking for soil stabilization products
Put your thinking cap on . . . We need to grade and stabilize the soil in the area in front (runway side) of the Museum hangar. The old fuel shed is going to be removed as soon as we can find help to do that. Volunteer?
First, though we have to clean the construction debris out of the museum hangar. Mark and I will get started tomorrow after a day off. It won’t take a lot of strenuous work - just a few hours time and we can begin accepting more airplanes . . . Tim Anderson has his 182 there now and Jacob’s 182 will be moved into his space on Wednesday evening. Bill Walker is flying his Cirrus in tomorrow (Tuesday) evening for a couple of days and will likely be in one of the runway-side spaces this visit if the ground dries out enough and if we can move the pallets from the doors out of the way.? Once the asphalt taxiway is installed we will have a little less stress about moving airplanes . . .? -Alex |
Here are a couple of examples of the products I’ve found.? We don’t want to use gravel and need something that will allow drainage without erosion.? I hope so. The Triple Tree people worked on the runway for several years before the first airplane was allowed to be on it. We don’t have that time? On Tue, May 6, 2025 at 15:07 Leo Dringoli via <dringoli=[email protected]> wrote:

开云体育My civil engineer brother offered to help if someone wants to give me or him more details about what is needed. ?He has worked in land development and storm water design for most of his career. ?2nd option is for everyone to install bush tires and fly a tail dragger. ? Thank you Matt and please thank your brother for us. We have a unique situation in terms of elevation, flood plain, and soil content and I doubt our description would be accurate enough for him to evaluate. It would take a visit. ?
