You won¡¯t see me at the Mustang for a while.?

Murphy Maverick project available

From a GlaStar friend in Indiana - a machinist whose GlaStar earned a Lindy at Oshkosh .. if you or friends are ready for a great airplane project, I¡¯ll be glad to put you in direct contact with them.?

Hi Alex. Here is my dad's Murphy Maverick he is building.? It has a Jabiru 4 cylinder.? The Maverick originally came with fabric wings but Daryl Murhy the owner redid the kit and made wings metal like on the Rebel. Anyway he is this far. Now has health issues and will never finish it.? It's all corrosion proof on inside and outside polished. He has over $33K in it. The cowling was started. We have prop too. Would anyone in your chapter be interested in finishing it? It would be a good plane for 3-4 guys to make a club to finish and fly. I think it could be had for $18K. So 3 guys with $6K each and you have a flying club. I can get more pictures too. Right now the wings are off and in my hangar and so is fuselage.

Re: TAS vs Fuel Flow

Now the % pwr vs TAS, that relationship would normally be IAS vs pwr. ?But he simply used TAS to express two relationships on one graph.

I¡¯m not sure I understand your chart. TAS is IAS corrected for pressure altitude and temperature (actually, Equivalent Airspeed, but you¡¯re nit picking to get that). I¡¯m not sure you can extrapolate usable data using TAS.?

Kind of bumpy but great visibility.

(Darwin - I crunched the data for 4 way speed checks.. ended up with 4 way average of 166 mph TAS and 168 GS, so came out pretty close.)

If your doing doing checks of your pitot static system use GS vs TAS ? Test is done at same altitude and indicated airspeed, approximate. ?
