tools for small but effective online conversation
Thank you for including me, Sharon! Hello John, that seems like a fun?event design! Here's an ?to?assemble some of the building blocks you described.? Today I also made a short??to walk through that event space and to provide step-by-step instructions for how to set up a similar event in about 15 minutes (after you have all the Google docs, kanban boards, and other tools created). In that example Qiqo event space, there is a Zoom meeting in the main room (to handle large numbers of participants) and a Jitsi video meeting in each of 10 breakout rooms (for up to 15 participants per room).? The event admin and assistant admins can use Qiqo to randomly assign & send people to breakout rooms or they can move themselves. In that example, I put these tools in the Qiqo breakout spaces:
I used this as the "link tracker" so I can keep track of all the links that are in each room before I paste them into Qiqo. Here is a . Here is the link to our each week. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi John Qiqochat is ideal for this. It is a wrapper for video calls with a range of shared document options including Miro.? Introducing Lucas Sharon On 21 May 2021, at 16:21, John Sechrest <sechrest@...> wrote:

yes, Thanks Mark.? I am aware of how to duct-tape together different pieces to make this work.? I keep hoping that as the boiling ecosystem of new features emerges that more and more of these will get consolidated so that I can use fewer combinations of duct-taped pieces.? Still looking for that one ring to rule them all.? A shared google doc is nice.? Perhaps there is a qiqochat combination of duct-tape that gets close? I am trying to think out how to have a smallish conversation which is the equivalent?of a seminar session in person.? A small group, perhaps 8-15 people, that are all focused on a specific thread of conversation.? I want to? a) have video/audio, where I can see everyone b) it would be a bonus if this could have a "fishbowl" format? ? ? ? -? c) I would like to have a kanban board/voting with a drop and drag view on one side of things d) I want to be able to diagram the discussion (perhaps as a whiteboard) e) I want to be able to have some base cards/images, which can be linked/dragged/manipulated as part of the diagram of the discussion (take the groupworks deck as an example of card images -? )? f) I would like a recording of the whole session g) I would like to be able to export the diagram at the end.? If you were going to do this type of work, what online tool would you use? Can you get all of this in one tool?? |
