Help with a large scale event?

Hi all,

I am one of the co-chairs for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT)'s Annual Conference next year. We will hold it remotely in June and are looking for proposals for support in putting on an event unlike what any of us have done before. Many of us are very skilled at facilitating in person and have very clear ideas about what we want out of a digital experience - we just aren't 100% certain about how to get there. The planning team is hoping to get a few proposals from experts in online facilitation that brings together human connection, learning, excitement, etc. for groups of 500 - 1000 (which is where our attendance usually falls). If you are someone like that, and you'd be interested in putting together a proposal, will you please reach out to me??

Thanks!
Karen

Hello Karen,
Rees McCann would be pleased to offer some thoughts. We designed and supported the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action annual conference this year, to glowing testimonials from the client. This global event was prepared for around the 1000 per day expected participants.?

We are on London time. How might we connect?

Hi Karen

I stumbled upon an interesting? conference tool called airmeet.??It's features look very promising. I still have to explore extensively on it.? There is a black Friday life time deal going on now in Appsumo for this.??

Please note that I'm not affiliated with airmeet or appsumo.? As this is a new tool, please try it on your?own risk ?

Hello William,
Are you part of Karen's project? I must admit I'm getting a bit lost in this thread. ?I thought I was responding to Karen. I need more information to put together a proposal . Are you part of Karen's project?

Thanks. And apologies ahead of time for my confusion.

Just a reminder, if you want to reach out to Karen, you might want to email her directly instead of to the whole list. :-) Sounds like a fantastic event, Karen, and I bet there is a ton of expertise in this group to help!

THanks

Nancy

Of the large number of video tools that I have looked at , only Remo and airmeet have the mingle at tables metaphor.

I have used remo for several largish "150-300 people" events.?

Airmeet looks like it would do the same level of engagement. I have had a tour of it. It has some features that remo?is missing "ticketing".?
And you have to look at the pricing of each.?

None of the tools (not zoom, hopin, remo, airmeet, google meet, teams, icebreaker, toucan....) do what is needed to run a largish multi-faceted event.?

Some do somethings better than others.?
