Hi there,?

From what I understand, there is consultant pricing that varies depending on your business. Currently there is free use for anyone (including self employed consultants) to support the conversations that need to happen due to COVID-19.?

You are correct that the cost is in the thousands for a license.?

Here is an example of the I generated from our pre-meeting exchange. I clicked a button to develop it. I like the instant feedback it can generate for participants.?

Tomorrow is about playing, testing and learning. I am also interested to understand how and when to use the tool in order to add value to my work and that of my clients. As well, given the need to move online rapidly I'm looking for ways to engage and source information from the group that are novel and quick. ?

If you are joining tomorrow - please try and join from your computer and also have a mobile device so we can try some things with the mobile phone as well. ?

The .?

For anyone that can't join, I will write up a summary of the experience after!?

  • Conflict resolution - the specific context is ecosystem work with multiple/diverse stakeholders. So work continues, conflict continues and they can't wait to meet F2F in some unspecified future. We'd like to offer a short online training to help them work through this. This is hopefully a paid gig. I'm working on that now.
  • Community Consultation - again, in an ecocosystems context, projects need consultations complete before next phases. The phases appear to be pretty fixed so again, people can't wait to do the stakeholder consultations F2F. This is hopefully a paid gig.?
  • Finally, people with general expertise on designing and facilitating engaging online meetings that include breakouts on tools OTHER THAN ZOOM. I'm trying to put together a couple of sessions to expand some of the cool things we have done in zoom into other platforms. This probably starts as a free offering and you could easily build it into a paid gig... there IS demand!

One thing that might help: on your Participants and Chat windows, before you start screen sharing, there's a little dropdown at the top where you can select "Pop Out". When you set those windows to "Pop Out" (vs "Merge to Meeting Window") then when you start sharing, those windows will stay on top and visible.

Hope that helps,

Nancy,
I am game. I have good in person and online conflict resolution skills for complex environments. I can work in the other two areas as well.

Re: Verizon just bought Bluejeans

This is super interesting.?

Amazing how markets change on a dime in crisis contexts. I suspect a new emerging skill for online facilitators is their ability to move good online engagement process through different tool sets. As orgs "harden" into a single choice, this also has huge implications for cross org collaboration (I worry about that.)?

Is there anyone here who is tracking the access/inclusion issues about who doesn't have access to these tools? Again, another area of needed, emerging expertise.?

Thanks
Nancy

Re: How to optimise Host view on Zoom

Hello
I have been doing Zoom meeting extensively in the last month.. of course.
The best way to experiement with it is to schedule a test run with trusted colleagues ?and PLAN your test . Here is : each slide I shared was a test and I commented ans asked questions to participants to see what they were seeing. It is iin French but you will see the gist of it.?
That way you can play with the control in the SETTING panel of zoom.
I use the dual monitor system and this might be a boon or a bane.

I also show a dew slides at the beginning to make people aware of some technical ascpet of ZOOM and to mask for cooperation and tolerance from their part as we are all learning and experimenting together.

Feel free to Zoom me is you want to make tests!!!

Pardon my ignorance, but when I did a call with the Thought Exchange sales people they said the tool
cost thousands of dollars. Is there a version a solo practitioner/consultant could use, or is it just the enterprise version?

I¡¯m eager to join this gathering, but if the tool costs that much, I couldn¡¯t use it.?
