Re: How to export zoom chat data without name and date?

The tool created by Carolyn Camman is brilliant! I was going to pose the same question as Rowan this morning, as I need to clean up text from multiple breakout groups into a format that can be used as feedback to session presenters.?

BTW, these steps worked really?easily in Google Sheets. I tried doing the same functions in Excel, and the similar functions exist - except that I could not find out how to edit as outlined in Step 5 (to edit using " : "), so it edited by ":" and this made it messier, capturing all colons across the document.

Hi Sean,

Two main problems I am trying to solve:?

  1. I am trying to find a way where I dont have to go through the notes from the chat and delete all to Names or dates to get a coherent document with minutes from a meeting.
  2. I am trying find a quick way by which?I can take the content from the Zoom chat and add it to a list of post its in Miro or Mural without needing to manually delete all the times and names.

Hope that makes it a little more clear.

So, for example, if you are recording yourself interviewing someone else on camera (say recording your video meeting), you need to play around with the settings and see if the tool captures your browser audio or just your computer speakers (in which case, you would hear yourself on video, but not necessarily the other person).?

What an out-pouring of responses!? I am touched by your generosity and enthusiasm for the Spirit of Canada Dialogues Project.

For everyone interested, please come to our next session Sept 12th.

? Invite as many people as you like, regular Canadians who aren't political, the cousin you can't talk to because they are on the other side of an issue, other hosts and facilitators, people passionate about a cause, people who don't usually have a voice....
This session will be recorded and shared.

In a world that sometimes feels more and more divided, as it is more and more connected....

it¡¯s refreshing, and so needed, to find a space where we can really listen to each other

about important issues facing our communities and country.

breaksheartopen-wide.jpg

The question? ¡°What breaks your heart open, Canada? is an invitation for us

to share and listen from a place of compassion.?

When we share our stories and are heard,

we can then turn to the future together and begin to see what is possible.

VirtuousCycle.jpg

This session is the beginning of a national process. Perhaps? you might be inspired to become more involved in your community as a facilitator in your area, or a connector to partners and participants!?

We ask that you please sign up to participate in some very interesting and fun conversations!

  • Resize and move the video of you talking so it doesn't cover any important slide content
  • Go back to change spelling mistakes in slides?after?having recorded your narration.
  • Delete and re-record slide by slide, instead of either editing a final video or (for those without editing abilities) redoing the entire video.
Deltas:
  • Saving the final product as an mp4 takes a bit of processing power, so may freeze up on older computers
  • Still need to share the video somewhere -?although many of my collaborators simply share in Dropbox (either a shared folder or their own folder and then they send me the Dropbox link to the mp4)

Hi Melinda,?

You could also give Capto a go, we use that as we¡¯ve found it has great quality of playback.
I think there is a trial, and then a cost.?
We use it to also insert screengrabs into the video so it has easy to use editing functionality and the self-driven learning video tutorials are also helpful.

Good luck,?

Hi Melinda,
For screen recording, I recommend Loom because it is easy to use + it uploads to the cloud fast. You get a link for an hour recording in about 5 seconds and the video will play in about a min I would say. Best thing: free.
Check it out!

I¡¯ve been happy with Camtasia, but don¡¯t know how it compares to Loom, unfortunately . . .

One important thing to remember- not all of the video recording tool capture the audio from within your browser. So, for example, if you are recording yourself interviewing someone else on camera (say recording your video meeting), you need to play around with the settings and see if the tool captures your browser audio or just your computer speakers (in which case, you would hear yourself on video, but not necessarily the other person).?
