Re: CXA1645P equivalent chip
not looking to repair something, was looking to build something. Found a circuit that uses this chip, but unfortunately cant find this chip to make the circuit. Yea, i think Sony used this chip in one

Re: Solar Panels - trackers
A quick look made me startle at the following: "The heat from the oil was used to generate steam, which then drove a turbine, which in turn drove a generator capable of providing 10kW of electrical

Re: Solar Panels - trackers
Hey guys, ? ? Here's pre-packaged solar tracker: ? http://scientificsonline.com/product.asp?pn=3081628&bhcd2=1249867218 ? The idea can be upscaled (I hope).? But then again, it can't be that

Re: Solar Panels - trackers
The solar finder circuit and the tracker motor are both very simple. Since LED's produce power when they are exposed to light, you can connect them to an op-amp and have one tilt off on each side,

Re: Solar Panels
yeah you decrease your effectiveness, however until you get down past san diego the mirror increase will always bne better than your temperature decrease. I built solar panels out of 0.5V 3A cells

Re: Hakko 936 soldering iron...
My Ersa station at works hums a bit too, as does the TE-50 I have at home and the station for the resistronic irons I built at school, guess that is normal to some extent. Especially when switching on

Re: Strange problem on a serial output line...
You can hit them with a heat gun and test your theory. Don't hold it there too long. I seriously doubt that heat is a problem unless you are driving some heavy loads with the uC pins. I'm surprised

GRRR these intermittent problems are enough to make my hair fallout fster than it normally does. This morning things are working good again. I suspect either a heat problem or something similar. If it

Re: Hakko 936 soldering iron...
Theoretically, if enough good judgement is supplied by the user, you can make a joint under the same conditions with this tool as with any temp. controlled iron. Even the radio shack "hot stick"

Re: Hakko 936 soldering iron...
Chris, I have also bought the 2 irons, the weller for $35 and the blue equiv for $14.95. Both are good and much better price than the Weller's at $100-200. One note they are not temp controlled. The

Re: Hakko 936 soldering iron...
Perhaps being 60 Watts is also why it heats up so darn fast too. My old iron would take 5 to 10 minutes (never timed it) to heat up enough to melt solder on the tip. The HAKKO seems to get the tip up
