Troy Rising: A Prequel of Sorts¡
[OOC: This is just a standalone piece as we wait for folks (if any) to make characters who might want to still play in "Troy Rising", which gives a bit of an explanation from the other side of the multiverse. Also, if anyone has questions or concerns regarding this storyline, let me know. I'll try and work with you to get things going. And now, on with the show.] In the years to come, what was known as the Troy Incident would join the ranks of such strange phenomenon as as the Tunguska Blast, the Bloop in the South Pacific, the Dancing Plague of 1518, and the SETI ¡°Wow¡± Signal. The only difference was that it had all the resources of the mid-21st century to bear upon it, though in the end the results and conclusions were just as ambiguous. What is known is that on April 25th, 2057, all contact with the university town of Troy, AL was lost. The nearby army base of Fort Rucker reported a flash of light, which sent the garrison on full alert. They at first believed that a nuclear bomb had gone off in the town, but when there was only a light flash and no shockwave or thermal blast, they went to investigate. What they found baffled them. Where once there was a town, a forest stood in its place. In the middle of a vast field of CHOOH2 stood a dense, untamed woodland the likes you¡¯d see in the Pacific Northwest. Satellite measurements and cartographers confirmed that it was a perfect circle measuring roughly 20 miles in diameter. Physicists put forward several ideas. Some conjectured that a spatial superstring dealt the planet a glancing blow. Others posited the idea of a primordial black hole swallowing the area. Wormholes were even considered. None of these could explain why a forest was there instead of a town, however, and were soon discarded. None of these came close to the truth, however. They failed to¡¯t explain the other findings as well. For one thing, a crudely built cabin, done in a style remeniscent of medieval Germany, was found to have been partially burned, and then there were the naked remains¡ªa man, a woman, and two boys. All of them appeared to have been killed with some sort of cutting implement, and the woman showed signs of rape. None could be identified¡ªeven fingerprints and genetic identification failed to yield anything. Eventually, all the commotion about Troy died away, and the courts ruled the incident an ¡°act of God¡±, and thus insurance companies were off the hook. Every now and then, a family member of one of the missing townsfolk would try and have the case re-opened, but more often than not, the request was declined. Even in those cases where the request was accepted, no headway could be gained, and the matter would once again be dropped. What had happened was simply so beyond 21st century science that no one ever came close to discovering the truth. And the truth of the matter was far more bizarre than anyone could¡¯ve guessed. The Troy Incident you see, was caused by what might be described as a cosmic accident, brought on by the equivalent of the leftovers from an art project. The Koveveh, a species of 4th dimensional aliens, were obsessed with art and sculpture. Their medium of choice: The fabric of spacetime from multiple universes. What struck the town of Troy was effectively a ¡°shaving¡± from one of their latest projects. The unusual nature of that debris swapped a section of Earth¡ªwhere Troy once existed, with a piece of another world. The Koveveh had been warned many times against their dangerous artwork, but they insisted on continuing unabated. They¡¯d meet their extinction 2.5 billion years later at the hands of the Z¡¯zani¡ªone of the multiple offshoot descendants of humanity that ascended to a state of 4th dimensional existence. The Z¡¯zani didn¡¯t exterminate the Koveveh out of any sense of vengeance. They knew nothing about what happened on Earth long ago, or that the Koveveh were even responsible for it. Indeed, they were unaware that they even evolved on that long forgotten world. No, the reason was a matter of simple expediency. After 40 million years of warnings, the Koveveh were des

Blood Bonds: Family Ties

(Anais) ¡°Yes of course. I would like to know everything. Do you have any sisters? Why do you live so far from home? Is there a family hierarchy? Do you and your brother get along? Are your parents still alive? Is there any kind of etiquette I should know about? Things I should not say? Questions I should not ask? Am I allowed to talk to your brother?¡± She said in rapid fire. ¡°I mean that is if it is okay to ask these things." She still had so many questions but she figured she would calm down for now. (Draven) Draven looked at Anais for a moment and blinked as she suddenly opened up with a flood of questions. He made mental note of each one as he let her finish. "Wow, okay. I guess you do. Let me start with a simple one, my mother is still alive, but I believe my father is no longer. As to what happened to him, I am not sure. I just know that I stopped feeling his bond a few years ago. "A family hierarchy, well not exactly. I mean we aren't like werewolves where we have an alpha and next in line sort of stuff, but there are Princes, or Ladies, who run different covens. I believe Prince Balan is the current Prince of my families coven. The different Princes or Ladies are selected from age and blood lines. Prince Balan's blood line is a few ages older than my families. I think he is the last of his line, so if he ever perishes, then the leadership of the coven would fall to my families blood line with the oldest being make the Prince or Lady depending. "As far as I know I do not have any sisters. As for (Insert Brother's name, I can't remember) and I getting along. I have always tried to be a civil little brother, but there were times when I felt resentment from him. So yes, I guess. Granted we are older now and he may be different. Yes, you may speak to him. I don't see why you can not. Just read him first and see what kind of mood he is in. If he is in a state of anger, then everyone knows to stay away from him. "Why do I live so far from home? Well, I like the country side. I like the openness and my family likes the city. The also have a strong coven tie to their estate. Most know where it is and it is easy for them to get to. "Etiquette, questions and things not to say. As for etiquette, just do as you were brought up to do. Be the lady you are and everything else will be fine. Questions, well follow your instinct. If you feel like it is something you shouldn't ask, then don't....werewolves. Don't bring up werewolves and the treaties. There are still elders who feel that they should be wiped from the earth. As for the subject of humans...I know that you are half...but there are those who feel that humans should remain our slaves. I will steer you clear of those elders who may try and find you unclean. Okay, I think I have answered the questions you fired off." He said just as they arrived at the taylor shop. Tag: Anais

Troy Rising: A Mission for the Queen (Rayna, attn Caldiorone al-Basir-delove)
7
The Prince of Bahn put on a good show, but Queen Rayna was experienced enough to realize that he didn¡¯t want her in his city. She could sympathize a little. With marauding armies roaming across the Northlands, the last thing you wanted to do is call attention to one. Now one of them was camped outside his walls, and he was hosting their leader. The Prince was no prize as far as courageous men were concerned. His sister, however, was another story. Yennifer von Bahn rode horseback, enjoyed fencing, and was constantly on her brother¡¯s back that they needed to muster up a militia. She was young, yes. Inexperienced, yes¡but there was no lack of courage on her part. It gave Rayna a way into the Court of Bahn. She sent out an invitation to the younger sister, and soon enough Yennifer answered, finding the Queen of the Sword to be quite inspirational. In a short amount of time, she had invited the Queen of Apa into the walls of Bahn, and even arranged some impressive housing for her and her retinue. Now, after spending a few nights in an actual bed, she was taking the time to go over correspondence from the last several days. Most of it was predictable, but one stood out. ¡°A flash of light?¡± She had gotten three reports which talked of the same thing. One was a direct eye witness while the others were second hand reports. They talked of seeing a bright flash of light somewhere near or perhaps even on the Basiya Jiyane. That was more than a little disturbing. The lake was a holy site to many, even to her, believed to be the Womb of the World, where life arose. Whether you were an adherent to the Goddess, a faithful adherent to the Holy Twelve, a follower of the Trinity¡ªOld Law or Revelationist, and even the Thaluthin, all believed the Basiya Jiyane was important spiritually. Should I be concerned, she wondered. I should at least be curious, I think. She got up from her desk, having made up her mind, and found Otto. ¡°Otto, be a dear and send for Cali, please.¡± ¡°At once, my Queen.¡± He bowed and went on his way. Ever since she accepted the services of Caldiorone Al-Basir-delove, she hadn¡¯t been certain exactly how to employ him. He never seemed to complain, but she was still concerned. The Caliph of Emirzelli was quite insistent on her using his services, but she was a little averse about having the services of an assassin. But this sounded weird, and Cali had proven to be adaptable to weird situations. It sounded perfect. (Tag Cali)

Port Vega: The Real Test Begins.
23
The dawn broke with the usual dual between fog and sun fighting for mastery of the morning. The reds, yellows and oranges of the early morning sunrise arose over the compound to giving way to bright blue skies and the sounds of birds chirping in the distance. The sun dappled shade over the tree to shine sporadic cascades of sunlight upon the building and in through the various windows. It was a lovely morning. The clouds bursting forth coating the dusky morning sky. The day was warm for the season and the sun bright sky contained enough clouds to make a child happy to watch the shapes in them. The sound of Harrison¡¯s black stiletto knee boots rung out through the hall as she moved to classroom B. As she came in, Chord stood standing at the sideboard along the back wall that was filled with all kinds of assorted breakfast food. His plate was loaded with eggs, bacon and potatoes. ¡°Hungry,¡± Harrison said as she moved to get a cup of tea. ¡°Always,¡± Chord said. ¡°Besides you know how fast my metabolism is.¡± ¡±I do,¡± she said coming to sit at the end of the conference table. She was quiet as she regarded him over her mug. ¡°What¡¯s on you mind Harry.¡± Chord said as he ate his eggs. ¡°Ireland.¡± He sighed and put his fork down. ¡°I know. She did not come in until about and hour ago.¡± ¡°Did you talk to her.¡± Harrison asked. He shook his head. ¡°When I tried she simply told me she would shower and be here by 8 am.¡± ¡°It¡¯s 7.¡± Harrison said And just then simultaneously in all the bedroom the alarms went off. ¡°Good morning recruits.¡± The sound of the soft feminine Computer voice said. ¡° Please dress in the clothing provided for you.¡± The clothing today being simple black jeans and a black t-shirt, black socks and sneakers. ¡°Retrieve the messenger bag on the hook by the door and report to Classroom B. Breakfast will be provide for you there. You have one hour.¡± TAG: Posting Order: Kat, Brandon, Gen, Kites, Mia, Ireland, Chord and Harrison (OOC please keep this tag at the bottom of each post. Elusive Capture: Beaches. Andrew/Evone¡¯
15
Evone¡¯ She looked up at him.¡±you do?¡± She said and threw herself in his arms ¡°I¡¯m so glad.¡± She kissed his cheek and pulled back. ¡°I¡¯m sorry. I¡¯m...my mind is a bit foggy. I think there may have been something in my food. I¡¯m trying to understand what¡¯s going on. And Lucas said you didn¡¯t want me. That I was just a novelty to you because you were a pirate...and then you said you would stay away from me...I¡¯m glad you want me. I want you too...I just need sometime. Just a little time to get my head on straight. Okay.¡± (Andrew) "I understand, my love," Andrew said gently, chastely kissing the top of Evone's head. "Take all the time you need. I'm not going anywhere." He glanced down at the place on the beach where the Elusive was being repaired. "Not at the moment, anyway. But when the ship has been made ready again, we will both be going together, to whatever shore you choose." He took her hands in his. "And wherever that may be, I will not leave your side." "Oh, one other things," the captain of the Elusive added, his eyes glinting impishly, "despite what that loathsome husband of yours may have told you, I am _not_ a pirate. I'm a smuggler. I take things _to_ people, not _from_ people." He wanted to tell her more, but thought it better not to. Not just yet, at least. Give her time to get properly on her feet once again, he told himself, before you show her just what other hats you wear. - Evone' ¨C She wrapped her arms around him and sighed. Hugging him tight, taking in his scent. It was good to be with him again. In the arms of someone who loved and cared for her. That pain hit her heart when she thought of Lucas. She thought he had loved her¡he didn¡¯t. He only married her for¡what? Her money? She didn¡¯t have any money. Her father did. Did he marry her for her father¡¯s money? They had been married for five years now. Was this all a trick? Did he set up this trip to do this from the very beginning? The thought pained her. And she had to blink back tears¡god she was crying again. She hated to cry. She would be glad when whatever they gave her wore off. Evone¡¯ smiled at his clarification. ¡°Thank you for clearing that up. But I think you most definitely are a pirate as well.¡± At his puzzled look she said ¡°because you have taken my heart from me and I do not want it back.¡± Then her eyes went very serious. ¡°Please do not break it. I do not think I would survive is you do.¡± Disclaimer: This message, including all attachments, is confidential and intended only for the recipient. Port Vega: Up On the Roof (Harrison, Mia, Ireland, open)
2
(Old Mia: Will remove on next post. Left so that we have a starting point for this part of the thread.) Mia felt the sudden shift in the room from those around her after she spoke. They would never accept her fully as one of theirs since she didn¡¯t have a flirty affair going on with anyone. She did find Ireland attractive and even tried flirty with her on the roof a couple nights earlier, but the woman didn¡¯t seem receptive. Then Mr. Chord said something about disbanding the project all together. She knew they had failed, but really that badly. She overheard Gen¡¯s comment about being perfect, ¡°I am far from perfect.¡± She said in response as Ms. Harrison and Mr. Chord left the room and she was handed an envelope. She got up from the table and went to a window away from everyone else and opened the envelope. Simply said, ¡°Meet me on the roof, please. Ms. H¡± Mia wondered what she had done to impress the woman who only a few days ago had more or less told her she could leave. She turned to the group as she folded the note and slipped it into her pocket, ¡°Well, it seems that you all clearly don¡¯t like me for whatever reason. So, I am just going to say my goodbyes, thank you, and good luck.¡± With that she left the conference room and headed for the elevator. She just didn¡¯t understand why she never fit in anywhere and she was tired of trying when others wouldn¡¯t take the time to get to know her. (Ireland) Ireland wasn¡¯t at all surprised what happened next. Brandon and his punk ass only made things worse. Even in this moment he has a chance to be a leader and he blew it. Running away for invoking all the sympathy he needed and making things worse...setting the rest of them off. Now Kat was crying, Gen was getting catty with his comments and Kites was pushing the rest of them away. Gaw...Ireland tried really hard not to roll her eyes at the level of melodrama that was playing out before her. These people had known each for all of what...36 whole hours and they were acting like the had been friends since birth and Chord and Harry had just cruelly ripped them apart and sent then out to the wolves...not just told them to go home. Surely they knew It was possible for life any friendship and budding relationships for them to continue to exist beyond any ideas that MC3 had plan for them. They must all be really young...and virgins...otherwise she had no understanding why they would all act this...this...dramatic. Because this was just too much for her. She kept her face and body language unreadable as the scene unfolded before her. She was even good and didn¡¯t laugh in Gen¡¯s face when he looked at she and Mia in disgust...and spat out his words towards them. Out of all of them, he was the one who was hard to take... she was so wrong about him. The other day, when he helped her out with that jerk, He seemed so cool and sweet and nice....Even Frankie like him And Frankie never liked anyone. She wanted to get to know him more... But now...after hooking up with that Kites guy...he wasn't the same guy. He was now catty, disrespectful and rude...he had turned into a mean girl...just like Kites. And Ireland didn¡¯t do mean girls. When Mia said what she said and walk out. Ireland felt bad for her. Mia had just openly expressed just how much they made her feel left out. She wondered if any of them would care. They had their cliques and dicks...and Mia wasn't a part of that before...that was obvious yesterday and now since she had proven herself as free independent thinker...it was probably even more so for this group now. ¡°Thanks Gen. The way you just spat those words out, the look of disgust in your eyes as you looked at me and Mia while you said, made it oh so believable.¡± She said standing up. Ireland moved to the door, ¡°The other day when I meet you...When you helped me with that jerk. I thought you were so cool. Right now...in this moment...not so much.¡± ¡°It was nice to meet you Kat. Since you and Brandon are now a thing, I¡¯ll probably see you again. Hey Mia, wait up.¡± She said leaving the room. She caught with Mia at the elevator. ¡°Hey...

Troy Rising: Meanwhile, at City Hall¡
They called this unimpressive building City Hall. Where Zafiri had seen buildings that seemed to be made of glass, reaching an unheard of height of thirty stories, this humble building was comprised of a red brick facade and had enormous windows that seemed more appropriate on a Church belonging to the Twelve. These windows however were clear, not stained. Inside, City Hall was clean, but crowded, with people discussing various matters of town business. Food supplies, the water supply, something about some sort of¡power plant? She knew that the fields of what seemed to be wheat were considered important. Chew-too? What an odd name. Some carried obvious sheafs of paper, while others carried¡some sort of rectangular object that resembled a slate, but it glowed brightly, and lettering seemed to scroll along the surface. Here and there, some of the conversations stopped as people turned her direction. Some just glanced and turned away, while others blatantly stared. It was clear that none of them had ever seen a Torquani before today. Again, it confirmed much of what she had gleaned so far from Janet and Julian. These people were as confused about where they were as she was about being in Troy. ¡°Miss Naarmyr?¡± She turned to find an older man, grey hair turning white, and thinning on top. He was clearly very old, but where most people his age should be stooped over and nearly crippled (peasants often didn¡¯t live past 55), there seemed to be significant energy coming from him. The only indication that his age might be catching up with him was that he walked with a slight limp, which required him to use a cane. ¡°Yes, sir?¡± she asked. ¡°How do you do, Miss Naarmyr,¡± he said, extending his hand. ¡°I¡¯m Will Reeves, mayor of Troy. I appreciate you accepting my invitation.¡± ¡°My pleasure, Lord Mayor,¡± she said, taking the accepted hand. They shook hands here. She was getting used to that. ¡°I hope I can be of help to you. For everything you¡¯ve done for me and my father both.¡± ¡°Well, let¡¯s see what we can do,¡± he said. ¡°And please¡call me Will. I¡¯m no lord.¡± Interesting¡ Mayor Reeves showed Zafiri to a seat at a long, polished wood table, where there a number of other people sitting around as well. Reeves himself took a seat at the end. The chairs themselves were nicely upholstered in some sort of cloth, and she found them remarkably comfortable. ¡°Okay, introductions all around,¡± Mayor Reeves started. ¡°Our new guest here is¡Zafiri Col Naarmyr. I apologize if I¡¯m mis-pronouncing that.¡± ¡°You¡¯re doing fine.¡± ¡°Thanks,¡± he grinned. ¡°She¡¯s one of the refugees the Aldecaldos brought in. Happily, she didn¡¯t require any hospitalization, and I¡¯m hoping she can give us an idea of the locality and fill in some of the holes we still have. ¡°On my left, let me introduce Jonah Nash, local director of BioTechnica¡¡± Jonah was a young man, with well groomed hair and sideburns, with simple but very well tailored clothes. His features were youthful, but his eyes told her he was older somehow. ¡°Representing the military left in town, Captain Alan MacCleod of the US Army¡¡± This man was built squarely, and everything about him screamed ¡°soldier¡± to Zafiri. He wasn¡¯t like a mercenary, however. He carried himself with a disciplined dignity, and he gave her a short, courteous nod. ¡°Ma¡¯am.¡± ¡°To my right is Professor Amir Narisawa, head of physics and cosmology at Troy University¡¡± If anyone could¡¯ve reminded Zafiri of a wizard, it was this man. Like the Mayor, he was elderly¡ªeven older than the mayor, if Zafiri was right. His hair was white, but lush and long, and tied behind his head. He gave her a nod¡and she realized he was picking up on her non-verbal signals just as much as she was on him! ¡°Alison Kimber of Kimber Firearms, representing the machinists and mechanics in town¡¡± Another elderly person (there seem to be a lot of them in this place¡ªall in good shape, too). Her hands looked to belong to those of a man, though¡ªrough, like she worked hard with them. Her hair was red, but it was losing its color. ¡°And finally, there¡¯s Carl Greene, who¡¯s currently the de

?(Brandon) He would pack after he got his answer. He could only assume that Mia was their choice in co-leader along with Ireland which was fine he realize Mia had the right idea. He just didn't think it was right or fair to over tax them on the first day. But deep down it made sense...if they were in a situation...the villains weren't going to pull their punches cause they didn't know what to do cause they weren't prepared so what did he expect? Seeing Ireland look at him as she did, didn't help his case either. Seems he was disappointing all the way around. He was good by himself he had only to defend himself but in a group he seemed to result to his base level and that was just as insecure and inept as he accepted that he was when his older brother used to pick on him. He went to Chord and wanted to talk to him. He was surely willing to plead his case for the others not him. He actually had not stepped up the way he should, but the others didn't have the opportunity and deserved a chance to be better. If anything they would excel under Harrison and Chord's training far better than he had obviously. So if anything he would at least give them a chance to be a better team...together. It was the best he could do. He would at least have his team As that was truly far more important than anyone person anyway. Brandon walked into the office. ¡°Mr. Chord¡.you are scraping the project cause your son didn¡¯t live up to your expectations. He disappointed and failed you once again? I get that I played that wrong¡I should have been more commanding, more analytical and less emotional. I know the villains won¡¯t give us that chance to make a mistake. But I am asking you¡to give them a chance even if you drop me from the team. Give them the chance to be better. I am not even pissed at Ireland being the team lead. She deserves it. I don¡¯t measure up I get it. But they deserve a chance to prove they can be better than their showing yesterday! You and Harrison can train them better than me! They can be the team you all can be proud of. I guarantee it. If you don¡¯t take them then they will more than likely kill someone or kill each other trying to do it on their own anyway. They will find a way to perfect the experiment with GEN and make them¡fully activated and controlled.¡± Brandon looked at the man. ¡°Please Dad¡just give them one more chance?!?¡± He stood there a boldly as he could it didn¡¯t have to do with him he didn¡¯t care what happened to him this time. Hell he had caused enough problems of his own, now it was more about making sure those that were here had a better chance that what his emotional stance had given them. He couldn¡¯t protect them all he could only save them and the best way he could do that was getting out of the way. Chord ¡°Are you absolutely sure about this.¡± Harrison asked He nodded. ¡°Are you?¡± He asked in return. She nodded. He sighed. ¡°They are going to think we gave up on them.¡± ¡°Essential we did,¡± Harrison said bluntly. ¡° But it was only because they gave up on the program first. My principles will always be my principles and I will not compromise those for anyone.¡± He nodded as they stepped onto the elevator. ¡°And I would never ask you too.¡± ¡°But you feel bad,¡± Harrison said ¡°No, that¡¯s not it. It more...I feel disappointed...but not for me...for them. They all had so much potential and I guess I¡¯m disappointed that all of them just gave up. That no one had any shame in their behavior yesterday and that out of five people only one of them took any personal accountability and quiet frankly the one that did, have very little to hold themselves accountable for. That to me is the real shame.¡± Chord said ¡°Not that the program is halted. I can find new people for the program. It¡¯s a real shame that this group of people didn¡¯t work out. ¡°Well beside being sure about their sexual feelings for one another, they were all untied in hating you.¡± She said With a smirk. He chuckled. ¡°Indeed. So I guess in that I am happy I was able to bring them together in that way. You plan to talk to Mia.¡± ¡°I do.¡± Harrison said ¡°Have you chan

Hi all. Just a quick shout out to say, I hope you are all staying safe at home and are healthy. Only going out if you need to and if you are an essential personal somewhere, thank you and please stay as safe as possible. As for me and my family, I have been home this past week. I return to work on Monday for a week on, then off the following week and will be like that until Edwards Air Force Base in California, where I work at the Child Development Center, either goes back to full status or we drop into HPCON Delta. At that point my center will be closed and I will be on admin leave until they open up again. With that said, I am keeping up on posting as quickly as possible, but also getting lots of school work done. Continue to take care of yourselves. Hugs to you all. Babs

(Ireland, Harrison) Ireland didn¡¯t know if she really believed the girl was okay or if she just built up walls. It also made her wondered if Mia realized just how standoffish she could be. Which could explain why no one connected with her. ¡°Because Daddio and Harry are really big on personal accountability. Besides you did you hear or see anyone take any?¡± Ireland asked stepping on the elevator. She shook her head. ¡°Nope Harrison asked for you. If I show up she won¡¯t be happy. She is the law and order around here.¡± Ireland said with a smile. (Mia) Mia listened to Ireland tell the reason, "that makes sense. Well, it will be interesting to see what everyone decides to do. Okay, well which floor you want to get off?" Mia asked as she released the button and the doors closed. "I am apparently on my way to the roof." She knew she sounded stand offish, but she has always been one to let things go once she had said her peace. She wondered what would happen when the day came and there was real trouble from enemy mutants in the city. Without some kind of reinforcement team the local pd wouldn't stand a chance. Tag: Ireland

New beginnings (Katya and Ashton)
5
(Ashton) Ashton got up to make them breakfast. He was a was sorry he had been investigating some rogue wererats that were running a trafficking scheme. He had dealt with a few of them and he was a bit sore but he had healed most of it. He let his lover sleep since he was a bit late coming in. He was hoping breakfast would smooth things over since he meant to¡wake her up last night but she was sleeping so sweetly. He enjoys just being with her. She came with him to NYC so he could get his things. She talked him into going down to New Orleans, which wasn¡¯t much twisting. His current hunting seemed to be pointing him in that direction. Hell, there was supernatural crime and corruption anywhere and since New Orleans was an energy nexus as well as potential Hell mouth it was as good as place as any. Besides, she had a business down there and since they would be together it seemed perfect. Walking along the bayou feeding her some beignets, eating them off of her. What was not to like? He put on the coffee and put on some soothing jazz for the morning and began to make them something to eat. He was going to try to make her breakfast in bed today. She loved the sunrises now so he would try. (Katya) Katya had awoken shortly after she felt Ashton slip from the bed. She wasn't mad persay at him, but she also didn't like him coming in after she had decided to go to bed. She slipped on some running clothes and headed down the stairs of the balcony of the window. She liked New York, but would be glad to be back in New Orleans. That was where her heart longed to be. She took a run along the Hudson and enjoyed the morning air. She decided to not sneak back in and came in the front door of the apartment they had rented as Ashton was heading to the bedroom with the breakfast. She simply smiled as she watched him walk to the bedroom. What would he think when he found her not there? She sat down at the table to wait for him to come back to the kitchen. Tag: Ashton

Port Vega: Kat and Gen
5
(Kat) Was a little stunned when Gen came and hugged her. She hugged Gen back just as tightly. She wasn't sure what she really wanted to do. Her emotions were a turmoil inside her. Gen offered her place up to stay at as well. Kat figured she would visit Gen in a few days, after everyone's emotions settled down. Her attention shifted to Kites when he jumped up and asked her to stay. Then yelled at Gen. Kite gave Gen a stiff hug and then said that he needed time. They all needed time. Before Kat could do anything Kite left. She shook her head slightly. Kat looked to Mia when she replied that she was not perfect. Kat nodded slightly. Though when Mia said that no one here liked her, Kat actually shook her head. As Mia was leaving Kat spoke, hopefully lpud enough for her to hear. "I have no idea how you got the thought that I don't like you. You are wrong you know." She hoped that Mia heard enough of it before the door shut. When Ireland spoke up, Kat tilted her head. She understood where Ireland was coming from. Gen should have been more mature about this all. The way she had spoke was out of line. Though Ireland held her own. When Ierland went to leave and stopped to say that it had been nice to meet her and since her and Brandon were a thing, that she would be seeing her around. "It was nice to meet you as well. Hope you know that I am not upset with you. Never have been. I know that I screwed up. Thought I implied that when I spoke my peace. Hope that we can be friends." She replied before Ireland left. Kat turned back to Gen. "We need to talk." (Gen) "Are you sure you want to talk to me?" Gen asked dejectedly. "Everyone else seems to be mad at me. Even... even Kites." He looked towards the door the winged youth had departed through, becoming even more crestfallen. "Yeah, even him too." Looking back to Kat, Gen asked "Is it okay if we talk on the way back to my room. I really don't want to stay in here." He looked around the room as if mentally replaying the drama that had just taken place, then finally turned back to the cat-girl. "I just want to change back into the clothes I had when I came here. I don't want to owe those people _anything_." The last word was heavy with bitterness. Tag - Kat

REPOST: Port Vega: Up On the Roof (Harrison, Mia, open)

(Ireland) Ireland nodded. She agreed with everything Mia said, ¡°Well it sounds to me like even if Harry does ask you to stay. Based on what you said, you will have a couple decision to make.¡± She said stepping off the elevator. ¡°See you later Mia." (Mia) Once Ireland left the elevator, Mia released the button and the doors closed. She liked the girl, but really didn't see a relationship after all. She let out a sigh, just as well since they would probably be working together in the future. The elevator climbed to the roof and before she knew it the doors opened to an empty hallway. She stepped out and made her way to the door that lead to the roof. She opened the door to a gentle breeze. She stepped out and wondered where Ms. Harrison was. With a smile she reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out a little black mouse. She held Lily gently in her hands and spoke to her using her telepathy talent. She placed Lily on roof and waited. After a few moments, Lily came skittering back. Mia picked her up and once again spoke with her. She placed Lily back in her pocket and went to where Ms. Harrison was waiting. "Hello, Ms. Harrison. You wished to speak with me?" Tag: Harrison

A Pirates Life (Khadashee and Draven)
17
(Khadashee) The last thing Khadashee expected was for Draven to carry her to the bed and sheath himself inside her. It was sudden and not entirely unwanted, for she enjoyed having sex with him, it just wasn¡¯t what she wanted at the moment. She was tired and not quite feeling herself and scared....so very scared She didn¡¯t know why Bakari had sent for her. What could he possibly want. Did he hear she was happy and want her home to hurt her? Ever since his perceived betrayal, he scared her. He had said and had done so many cruel things at the hands of his brother, she was worried for herself and Draven. Bakari could order Draven¡¯s death and make her watch as he was beheaded and there was nothing she could do about. Dread filled her heart. Her mind just wasn¡¯t into this right now. She wanted to be held...not fucked. However, she consider that maybe Draven had the same fears and this was his way of assuaging those fears. Respecting his needs, she cooed and moaned and whispered sexy words to him until he released himself inside her. She kissed his lips after his climax and touched his face gently and moved to use the chamber pot behind the screen. (Draven) As he rolled off of her he realized that she wasn't with him on what just happened. He had misread her cues and now felt bad for taking advantage of her. He didn't know what else to do so rolled on his side to wait for her to return. Once she had he did the same and then carried to the window to dump it out into the sea. He stood there for a moment looking out and sighed. This was a bad idea. He loved her, but at the same time felt he was putting them both in danger going with her like this. He was at a loss now and simple placed the chamber pot behind the screen before starting to dress himself, not knowing what to say. Tag: Khadashee

OOC: Port Vega and Villains
3
I posted this on the OOC board, but not sure if everyone is on there or not. Hope it is okay if I put it here too. Hello out there. So there are already a few of us involved in the Port Vega thread and many of us play the hero mutants in the game. There are two of us that are also playing villain mutants and well, we need some more. If you are interested in finding some where to play, Aurora aka Keira could use some more villains to lead. Let me know. Also, I have posted for her and the thread is currently open so anyone wanting to jump on as an NPC please do. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Babs

Blood Bonds: Family Ties
18
(Draven) "Blue it is then," Draven said as he took out several blue shirts, both pullover, and button-up. "Crimson red and gold are our colors. As for formality, most of the evening meals will be formal gathers. And any special events that my family may be planning." He pulled out the garment bags that held his family suits and hung them on the rack by the door so that they would not be forgotten. He finished packing the essentials and went over a list in his head. Once he knew nothing was forgotten turned to Anais. "I will go and bring the car to the front for our shopping trip. I will return shortly for you, my love." He gave her a quick kiss and left the room. (Anais) She smiled at him then. "Don't forget I like you in black too." She said as he packed. She moved into the closet to pull some of the items she brought with her down so that she could back as well. When he said he would go to retrieved the car, she smiled and returned his kiss. Anais continued to pack. She had some of her favorite dresses and some of her favorite riding gear. She wondered if she would be able to bring Hell with her. She enjoyed her morning rides and wondered if she would have to stop that. She guessed she would ask him when he returned. He said she would need formal wear. And he kept saying, family. Almost like he had more than just his brother they were going to see. She didn't get her impression that his father or mother was still alive...but were they? Suddenly Anais becomes worried. She wanted to make a good impression on his family. What if they didn't like her...find her worth of him...didn't like that she was half-human. Yes he told her to not worry about those things, but she was well aware of the class system and how even now his kind thought her kind were an abomination and beneath him. Anais finished packing what she could and came downstairs to wait for him.

REPOST: New beginnings (Katya and Ashton)
2
(Ashton) He could see she was in a mood, but he didn't laugh or chuckle as that might aggravate her more. "It was work my heart. Did I wake you with my shower?" He asked thinking he wanted to spend time with her but she was on her side of the bed and he wasn't exactly sure what he might have done wrong...his job didn't change he was still a hunter. "I did some scouting, some exploring and dealt with a few issues. Why baby? What's wrong?" He was turning his head to the side as seems they had gone from good to another different layer. She was drinking and he could think of something else to feed her but now here they were. (Katya) Katya gave Ashton a smile. "No, your shower didn't wake me. I just wanted to go for a morning run and woke as you got up." She took a few sips of her drink. She saw his face and gave him another smile, "I think you forget that I really don't consume food as often as some one who doesn't drink blood for a living. Sorry, it does smell good. Just not in the mood for it." She went to a small fridge next to the main one and got out a blood bag, then took a seat at the table. She had forgotten briefly that he knew what she was and she could partake of a blood bag in front of him. The bourbon forgotten. What's wrong...she thought about the question. "Were you by the east docks last night?" Tag: Ashton

REPOST: Blood Bonds: Family Ties
(Anais) Anais did not expect any other voice to speak but Draven¡¯s so she was a bit taken aback at the sound of the female voice. However upon seeing the beautiful woman with the dark black hair, she knew this was Draven¡¯s mother. She found herself growing even more anxious under the woman¡¯s scrutiny. She stood quietly watching the two. She smiled. And then a feeling a longing filled her soul. What would it be like to have grown up with a mother who would hold her and look upon her the way Draven¡¯s mother Serene looked at him right now. When Draven introduced her, Anais curtsied. Draven¡¯s family was legendary, even to someone who was as sheltered as she was. She knew that he hailed from a long line of first born¡vampires believed to be blessed and turned by the Gods. ¡°I look forward to hearing the story,¡± Anais said with a smile ¡°Is it okay if I hug you?¡± (Serena/Draven) Serena gave Anais a smile and held her arms out, "Yes, my dear, it is." Her embrace was warm and inviting, not at all what one would expect from someone so ancient. After the embrace she turned to walk beside Anais and placed a gentle hand on the lady's back, "tell me Anais, is there anything you wish while you and Draven visit?" Draven stepped behind the ladies and walked silently letting them chat with each other as they walked towards a gazebo in the rear of the garden. The smell of jasmine filled the air and the night was peaceful as the moon rose on the horizon. Tag: Anais
