Scarlett
?
The redhead nodded. Interesting that Tempest had not shared her story with Zuriel. But if he and she were at odds with one another, maybe she did not have a reason to tell him.
?
She turned and looked outside at the darkness around the car as it drove to wherever Zuriel was taking them. Summoning her memories of Tempest, she shared the story of how Angus Wolfram stalked she and her fianc¨¦ in the backstreets of Chicago in the mid-1800s, descended upon them and dragged them into a warehouse where he spent hours having his way with Scarlett while forcing her beloved to watch.?
?
Then, the vampire told Zuriel how Wolfram killed her fianc¨¦ before draining her of her blood and leaving her for dead...knowing she would rise again, while the man she loved would not. After turning, Scarlett spent years searching for the vampire who had done this to her. More than 100 years passed until one day in 1968 she learned of Tempest and the vampire she served known as Wolfram.
?
Scarlett knew it was him. The monster who took her true love and left her the wander the earth as an immortal vampire. She got close to Tempest, submitted to her and let her believe she was her loyal servant...all so she could get close to Wolfram and exact her revenge.
?
The redhead told Zuriel that for twenty years she would meet with Tempest at places around the world and they would embark on days, sometimes weeks long sessions where she submitted to the other woman -- all to gain her trust so one day she would introduce her to her master -- Wolfram. That day finally came in 1986 outside Edenborough, Scotland in a castle belonging to the elusive vampire known as Angus Wolfram. Tempest brought her there to finally meet the man she called master...

The Tempest

As the car approached the castle, Temepest looked over at Scarlett. The woman leaned over and kissed the other woman's lips gently, a soft smile turning her lips upwards as her hand touched Scarlett's cheek. "You look beautiful," she said. "There is no need to be nervous. He will love you," Tempest, offering Scarlett what she thought was reassurance.?
?
Today was the day Tempest was taking Scarlett to meet her mentor. The very man behind the reason why she was who she was today--Angus Wolfram. Angus was her mentor. Her teacher. Her...Master. He was her sire and had been instrumental in her fall. He had been the one to pick up the pieces when everyone else abandoned her. He had been the one to help her find purpose when the world she knew collapsed. He had been the reason for her awakening. The reason why her eyes were now open to the truth that so many others...even her brother, tried to hide from her. He was the catalyst for her walking away from the false worlds of holiness and hypocrisy. And once she put those lies behind her, she walked away and never looked back.
?
As the car pulled up into the large circular drive and parked, the driver quickly got out and opened the door for them. Tempest slid out first, then held her hand out for Scarlett to take. "Remember to keep your eyes down unless he asks you to look at him. Stay close and a step behind me. But when he speaks to you, speak. At some point during the evening, I will have to break away from you. When I do, please feel free to mingle. If anyone bothers you, anyone at all, you come find me. Do you understand?" She said, stroking the woman's cheek.?
