Kirstene turned into his arms and looped her arms around his neck.?His words did things to her. Made her feel so many wonderful things. His touch never ceased to ignite pleasure…desire…love.

Kirstene smiled up into her husband’s eyes. God she loved this man so very, very much. It was there in her eyes, in her touch, in the way she clung to him…needed him. Never in her life did she ever imagine her arranged marriage to him would be this way--filled with such love and devotion and joy. But it was. And she was so very happy.

“I love you with everything in me. Going from two to three willna change that. Besides, I canna wait to see ye love this wee one the way ye love me. You gonna make such a wonderful papa.”

(Callum)

A cloud seemed to pass over Callum's face.? I hope that will be true.? I canna say that mah father was a lovin' father.? Everything had to be his way, and anything less meant the wrath o' god would be rained down on ye."? The young laird shook the thought away.? "But ah'll do mah best, mah love. Ah swear on all that's holy." He drew Kirstene close and kissed her forehead, adding "And by all that's bonnie and beautiful as well."

---

Two days later they were standing in front of the castle's main entrance, watching a carriage make it's way along the road that led up to the estate.? Callum and Kirstene were quietly expectant, but young Jaimie could barely contain his excitement.? "Is that yer sister, mistress?" the boy asked, hopping from one foot to the other.? "Ah dinnae see ony servants wi' her. Wouldn't thay be in a separate carriage? or oan foot?"

"Don't be getting yer hopes up, laddie," Callum chided the young servant affectionately.? "Ah'm sure the Lady Arowyn will have brought at least one servant to attend to her needs. She's probably in the same carriage. Taking two carriages would be an extravagance."? He glanced at Kirstene, his eyes glinting merrily as he added "We're not royalty, after all." ?

Re: The Door Between Two Worlds [Roue and Rabbit] (closed)

Though the immediate danger seems to have passed, at least for now, Roue still felt his hackles or the equivalent thereof, the hair on the back of his neck, stand up when a shadow started moving towards him from the corner of his eyes.? It didn't help that the bar was dimly lit so the shape was kept hidden as it continued to increase in size.? Damn, Roue thought, they have really thought of everything.? With a free hand, he began to focus a spell on the tips of his fingers, a light, icy sheen covering his glove though it was hidden by the cape that draped over his shoulders.? If they wanted to go so far as taking him down in this place, well, he was then going to give them a fight of their lives.? If he had the energy to do so.

However, the shadow suddenly stopped and seemed to hesitate in its forward movement.? Confused, Roue kept his eyes on the figure as after a minute or so it started moving towards him again.? He felt another sharp twinge in his side but kept his focus forward.? Once the being came closer, the light from the nearby sources revealed his would-be assailant.? His eyes widened as he looked over his greeter, eyes running over his form as he tried to understand what or who he was looking at.

In front of him stood a slightly shorter boy, fidgeting in place as he faced Roue directly.? The kind of garb he was wearing was not befitting anything he'd ever seen in Rune Midgard, so he wondered if this was some kind of strange visitor from a land neighboring the country.? He wore a sharp and crisp black-colored jacket over a similarly hued but striped button down shirt, and had a collar fitted across his neck?? A small light glinted over what appeared to be a tiny bell, though he had to squint to see it.? Was this a new trend that he wasn't aware of?? He couldn't tell and had to shake his head because it felt like his vision was going fuzzy.

However, what stood out even more is this person's hair and face.? His hair, its color reminiscent of a sunlit field of wheat, falling across his head in several relaxed, but spiky waves, starting short at the top and lengthening as it traveled down, half of it hiding the left side of his face, hiding one eye from view.? The other beheld an amazing azure blue orb, much like the color of Roue's own eyes, yet it seemed to have this unnatural glow about it.? There was only one word to describe him - beautiful, but he must be going mental thinking that right now.

Both of them seemed to be frozen in place, locked in each other's gaze, but it was Roue who first broke that connection.? A sharp hiss emanated from his lips as he involuntarily convulsed, stumbling forward but catching himself at the last minute.? He brought his left hand up to his face, going pale at what he saw.? The entirety of his gloved hand was slick with blood,? a rightly sticky mess that covered half his right side, violently staining his vest.? This immediately brought him back to the kunai the assassin managed to throw his way right before the ice wall fully materialized.? He thought it just shot by him, maybe ripping a few threads here and there, and cutting off a piece of cape, but he must've been too much in shock and adrenaline to feel its bite until now.

Roue looked back at him, feeling quite dizzy at this point? The boy suddenly began addressing him, looking very distressed and fidgeting in place again.? Roue didn't understand a single thing that was coming out that boy's mouth, though he noticed that whatever he spoke was definitely accented, not unlike his own at all.? Nothing seemed to make sense - not the place he found himself in, nor its settings, or the fact that he had no clue what was being said.? Before he could take the time to process all of that though, he felt himself falling forward as pain and exhaustion took over.

"<I-I think I'm going to faint,>" he said and collapsed like a ragdoll upon the floor.

The Door Between Two Worlds [Roue and Rabbit] (closed)

Roue Windmere was as normal as any other wizard in the magical city of Geffen, a town home to its myriads of mage and wizard guilds.? Its center was punctuated by a looming giant, aptly named, Geffen Tower, a host to Rune Midgard's largest collection of magical tomes and scrolls; a location on every budding mage's to-do list as it also housed the magic academy.? Despite being built on an island in the midst of a giant lake as a measure of safety, it was open to any and all visitors who wished to be surrounded by ancient knowledge and powerful magic.? But Geffen was not the focus of this story.? In fact, it's been 5 years and then some since Roue had stepped foot in the same town that was his birthplace.

Normal as he may have seemed, Roue was an elf and he was on the run for his life ever since he left.? Relentlessly pursued by his maddened parents, there was not a moment where he stayed in one place for too long.? A week or two at the most, always paranoid and looking over his shoulders.? This time was no different.? Yet again, the knights and assassins were hot on his heels as he ran through the streets of Einbroch, the famed city of steel and home to a populous blacksmiths guild.? The Kafra warp brought him here but as soon as his feet touched the cobblestone, he took off like a bat out of hell.? The air was rife with the chocking smog created by the mixture of steel exhaust and the nearby coal plants, so much so that Roue was coughing with every leap he took.? Try as he might to cover his mouth with the fringes of his wizard's cape, it was not enough to mask the smell nor the smoke that filled his lungs.? His eyes wildly looked for a corner, some corner or an alley that he could dive into but where?? He's never been to Einbroch and so wasn't familiar with the layout at all.? So how was he, a wizard who wasn't build for all this running, and heavily wheezing to boot, meant to escape his would-be captors?

"Crap, crap, crap! *cough cough*" he coughed out, sliding to a halt in the middle of the city square.? He turned around as his eyes widened as the sight of his unwelcome entourage, like a pack of wild beasts, heading straight for him.? There was no time to think, no time to make a plan and an ice wall was only going to hold them back so long.? Roue was running out of time.? He raised his hand and chanted a quick spell, waving his hand over the area in a horizontal arc in front of him.? A mere second later, the ground rumbled as a water main exploded below the cobbled stone and shot out of the ground in a highly pressured spurt.? Just as quickly, the water began to coalesce into an ice wall, but before it even had a chance to grow tall enough to hide him out of sight, an assassin threw a well targeted kunai at Roue.? The wizard dodged, or at least attempted to, as the sharpened piece of diamond shaped steel wizzed by his side in bullet time.? Luckily, he only felt it scrape his side, but no pain, cutting off a chunk of his cape.? Frowning, but wasting no more time and with the wall hiding him at least temporarily, he turned around and ran into a brown colored cloud of smog that was sliding across the ground.

There!? An alley!? He peeked over his shoulders, hearing but not yet seeing his pursuers.? He dipped into the narrow pathway, coughing up a storm, his lungs crying out for mercy.? No, be silent!? For crissakes, stop coughing Roue! he screamed in his head.? He tried to jam some of his cape into his mouth, diminishing the sound of his coughing but not stopping any of it.? He was not just running out of time, he was running out of energy.? Stopping for a second to try and catch his breath, Roue then half stumbled, half ran through the dimly lit pathway, using his arm to hold onto the wall as his eyes tried to adjust to the sudden darkness.? The loosely strewn garbage didn't help any either, threatening to stumble him and that it accomplished as he came upon a stray piece of pipe jutting out of a suspicious looking pile.? Before he could even react, his left leg collided with and caught onto the pipe, and for that brief moment, he quite literally flew forward as there was nothing else to stop his momentum.? Except the nice brick wall which he tackled head on.

"Argh!...that *cough* really, really *coughcough* smarts," he winced, nearly every word punctuated by his cough.? Disoriented and now in pain, Roue's hand flew up to try and get himself up when it alighted to the dead end's wall.? His eyes widened as his heart sank faster than an anchor in the ocean.? "No, no...no no no no no no!" he half whispered, sitting up as slid his hands over the wall.? As much as he didn't want to believe it, it was as solid as the ground that he was occupying.? In his disbelief, he didn't realize that he stopped breathing and as his lungs forced him to inhale, he started coughing up a storm just as he heard a quite loud "I hear him!? He must in this alley!? This way!"

Wasting no time in standing up, Roue pinned his back against the dead end wall, gasping as he tried to think of something, anything.? He was trapped, like a mouse being advanced upon by a pack of rabid cats.? He could hear the vicious assassin's hoarse laugh as they hastened to reach this narrow alleyway.? There was no way out, so he started preparing for a fight he knew would end with either his capture or his last breath.? Just then, he felt the wall behind him recede a bit, an action which caused him to jump back in surprise, turning around to see no longer just a wall, but an ornately carved door where there was only brick.? His eyes, now more adjusted to the dim light could make out some minute details, the carvings of unfamiliar words softly glowing in the darkness.? Was the door always there or was he imagining things?? Was he already dead and this was his purgatory?? Perhaps he was hallucinating now.? His hand automatically moved down, his fingers alighting on a rounded, brass-colored knob that he tried turning, his heart quickening in response.? No movement, so he desperately tried again.? A single hand too weak, he now used both and tightly gripping the knob, turned it further to the left and pushed.? The door groaned and creaked, but it opened and with it came a scented, but fresh breath of air.? Turning his head to inhale, Roue was broken out of his stupor as the narrow path darkened even more as a pack of towering knights entered the alley.

"There he is!? Get 'im!"? Time seemed to slow down as the towering giants broke into a run.? Not wasting this chance, Roue turned towards the door, it giving way much easier now and slipped inside, immediately shutting it it behind him, immediately bracing both hands as he prepared to push back.? He felt the door violently vibrate as the knights slammed their armored fists against the frame, shouting something loud but muffled, but the more they did it, the quieter it got and the less and less he felt the door twitch until it all just stopped.? Not one to question his inanimate savior, Roue placed his head against the cool material, taking quite a few deep breaths in an effort to calm himself when the sounds of distant, pleasing music and the loud tinkling of glasses being shuffled filled his ears.? Wait a minute...he turned around and at once received a shock at the sight before him.

He stood at the far end of a darkened corner of a bar.? The rest of the space was filled with rounded tabled and equally ornate chairs, some filled with patrons and some with naught but air.? There was light for sure, but it was soft and dim, so as to keep a soothing, sort of muted environment.? Various torches lined the walls which were not wood as he expected but metal worked and stuck into supporting beams? There was no fire inside but within the yellow glass was a shining round orb.? All sorts of smells filled his nose, delicate scents of different types of wines, succulent meats, punctuated by the atmospheric scents of what he thought was pine intermixed with tones of primrose and lilac.? Overwhelmed by where he was, Roue didn't even notice how all the patrons stopped their conversation to turn and look at this new visitor, their conversation changing from previously lively tones to a more hushed discussion.? Suddenly he felt a sharp twinge on his left side, wrapping his right hand around to try and soothe the pain.? It must've been from all the running he did, he reasoned, having been on his feet since the morning.? He stooped a bit more forward, closer to the light of the candles as he spoke to the barhand who was curiously eyeing him as he kept wiping the myriad of glasses in front of his person.

"<Wh-where am I?? What is this place?>" he asked the man, but only received a look of confusion and a brief sniff in Roue's general direction.? He was starting to feel slightly light-headed and gripped the bar's edge even harder, his breathing becoming a bit ragged.

(Tag Rabbit)

P.S. the <> around Roue's words are to indicate he's speaking in a language unknown to the inhabitants of this place.

Charity looked up from her husband's attentions, suddenly alert. "Something's amiss, husband. Give us a moment, will you?" "Perhaps they need a little help? Should I offer them a little help?" Charity chuckled softly, her laugh echoing like tinkling glass. The other men at his table, the aformentioned 'riff-raff' grumbled again as he spoke. "Sumthin' weird is goin' on, an' I don't like it. Not one bit." Glaring at the table where Sicilien and Chase were being joined by Callie and Flynn he continued,? "An' lookie there, they're all a-meetin' up." The other men mumbled between themselves, looking between Etienne sitting alone and the table where Chase, Sicilien, Callie, and Flynn were. "Five strangers," the rancher prompted. In unison the band of burly men stood up. Six of them went to the table of four, and two to Etienne's table.

"We're thinkin'," one of them said ominously, standing over the group, "that this here dust storm ain't natch'ral, see?" They all nodded and he continued, "an we're thinkin' it has sumthin doin' with the five of you."

His eyes narrowed as the man said they might be expecting each other. He didn’t like that but he wondered if that was what the woman back there was taking about. ‘Five…she gave each one of them a name a point of familiarity almost like chess pieces. “Chase is my name…why might we be…expecting each other?” he asked just wondering as he nodded to acknowledge the both of them.

“No that will never do.” She shook he head. And hooked her arms with Etienne, “Come with me. I have a special table for you.” She said leading her to a table near the window. Near the men who had been watching her. It was a small table meant for two.

Sicillien was midbite when he noticed a couple of space invaders approaching them. Two men was already too many at his table, an addition of a third one wasn't any more welcome than the second. Once the man spoke, however, he moved to the side to set down his effects, and then another shape materialized behind him...a woman. Though the waitress said he should've expected someone of the female persuasion, he wondered if he was yet taken for a fool thrice more since she was with a companion. They seemed to have some familiarity with each other though. He noticed them walking close together, so they must be companions of a sort. He took note that Chase was eyeing them with just as much of a suspicion, though he did not hesitate to introduce himself. May as well follow suit.
?
"I' m Sicillien, and I definitely was not expecting any of you.. I seem to be attracting all sorts of riff-raff tonight. No offense, Chase," he said, tilting his head slightly at his table companion' s side. He looked back at the man and woman before him, leaning back as he picked off a tiny string of sinew from between his teeth with his pinky nail, making a small "tch!" sound as he sighed in relief. "To what or whom do we owe the pleasure of our company tonight, lady and gent?"

She considered the fact they had all been drawn here and were apparently, somehow, supposed to meet up, so she continued."Seems as we try to travel to Miller's Crossing, we find ourselves back here in Bendo," said Callie. "Then there's this storm. It came out of nowhere and it resembles storms I've seen before -- storms that aren't normal, they aren't created by nature."She looked at Chase and Sicilian to gauge their reactions. Hopefully, if they knew something, they'd speak up...

?
(New - Flynn)
"Riff-raff? " Flynn repeated lazily, glancing at Callie and then looking back at Sicillien. "I know we may not have been expected, but that don't make us riff-raff. Especially not in these parts. The competition for what qualifies as riff-raff in this benighted desolation is pretty fierce, don't you think?"
?
The pookah leaned forward a bit in his chair and lowered his voice. "We were sent out by the Company..." he emphasized the word just slightly "...to look into some strange goin's on one of the Company' s agents reported happenin' around Miller's Crossing. And now he's dead, and someone or somethin' is workin' _real_ hard to keep us from ever gettin' to Miller's Crossing."
?
With that, Flynn leaned back in his chair once again. "We were told that there'd be some other folks that the Company wanted us to meet up with who'd also be lookin' into things." He paused to give a long look to both Sicillien and Chase. "You' re the only two people we've run across who don't seem to be from around here. ?She wrapped her arms around him and sighed. Hugging him tight, taking in his scent. It was good to be with him again. In the arms of someone who loved and cared for her. Did he marry her for her father’s money?

?They had been married for five years now. Was this all a trick? Did he set up this trip to do this from the very beginning? The thought pained her. And she had to blink back tears…god she was crying again. She hated to cry. She would be glad when whatever they gave her wore off.

"I dare not do anything that would break your heart," Andrew said, taking her hands in his. "for my heart is now in your hands as well. We are, I feel, linked now, by fate and by love." The Captain of the Elusive sighed as he glanced to where his ship was crawling with crewmen carrying out repairs.? "But we have much to do, the two of us.? When we can finally set sail again, we need to find this husband of yours _and_ his pirate partner and bring them to account.? And we should also visit your father to make sure he has not been misled into any scheme of theirs."? Looking back to Evone', Andrew kissed her hands. Angus, fully dressed now, was carrying a silver tray bearing the breakfast he'd prepared for the young mistress of the keep, which was how he thought of her now.? He had just reached the door to her room when it swung open before him to reveal Mikayla in the robe that he'd left for her when he'd put her to bed the night before.

"Ah, good morning, mistress," he said genially, bowing his head respectfully as he stepped into the room.? "I hope that you slept well. I thought that perhaps you might prefer your breakfast in here this morning, after all of the..." he paused, searching for the right word "...events of last evening" he finished finally. ?

Setting the tray down at the small sitting table near the bed, the man began laying out the various dishes.? Toast, with a small jar of fruit preserves. Slices of cured ham, edged with honey.? Braised fish, golden brown. Two boiled eggs, each in their own silver cup. A small bowl of steaming porridge. And a crystal goblet which he proceeded to fill with a sparkling water.?

When all was ready, Angus stepped back and held out the chair for Mikayla to sit.? "I hope this will be satisfactory, mistress."

?- Mikayla -

Mikayla gasped as she open the door to find Angus there. At the sight of him, she smiled. She must have been dreaming. There was just no way.

“Good morning Angus. ?Everything looks delicious. thank you so much.” She said as she sat down.

For a brief moment Mikayla?thought that this was only her second day here and that everything from the previous night was just a big elaborate dream brought on my trauma. After all all she had experienced was surly too fanciful and farfetched...maybe now she would meet the lord of the manner and learn once and for all what she was doing here.

And then his word said told her otherwise. Mikayla blinked up at him. “You mean last night wasn’t a dream. Last night actually. You mean Last night actually happened?” She asked puzzled.

?- Mikayla -

Mikayla yawned a loud sleepy yawn and rolled to her side. Her body nestling deeper into the warmth of the big fluffy bed and comfy down comforter.?

Fluffy bed...comfy comforter...

She sat straight up in bed. She blinked. What...was she doing back here? how...who did this?

Mikayla mind raced. She was trying to remember the last few minutes before...did she pass out? She had to have.?

Standing from bed, she wrapped herself in the robe that was at the end of the bed then moved to find Angus.

(Angus, The Dragon)

Angus, fully dressed now, was carrying a silver tray bearing the breakfast he'd prepared for the young mistress of the keep, which was how he thought of her now.? He had just reached the door to her room when it swung open before him to reveal Mikayla in the robe that he'd left for her when he'd put her to bed the night before.

Re: A Pirates Life (Khadashee and Draven)

(Khadashee)
Khadashee smiled at him. “You beautiful handsome man. Have I told today how much I love you.” She said kissing him deeply.?

“First, I want to say thank you for going through all the trouble you are going through right now. Coming up with your plan. Thank you. and?I understand Sa’id is worried. And he has every right to be worried. Bakari is a powerful man and he wants me back in Ethiopia for a reason. And you are correct when you say he can order your death with the ease of ordering lunch. And while?I have no doubt that you Can if you chose to, successfully hide your feelings for me. However, the fact remains that I do not think I can, nor do I want to hide my feelings for you. Once upon a time I belonged to my husband wholeheartedly. I gave him all that I was. And he chose to discard me in a heinous of fashion. He wanted me to suffer. And for five long years I did. And then the gods gave me you. And I am so happy. I have no intention of hiding that happiness. Or pretending that love does not exist. ?I plan on walking in my lands holding your hand and telling my people who you are to me. And how I came to know you. And I will fight Bakari if he makes it so that I have to. I will fight him.”

She placed her hand on his cheek. “I just want you to be comfortable. Tell me what you think I should do, Captain. I need your advice.”

(Draven)
Draven returned the kiss just as deeply, then he listened intently to every word Khadashee said.? When she was finished and asked his advice he smiled.? "Very well then my love.? We will not hide who we are to one another and I will gladly escort you on my arm through your kingdom.? I am your Captain and you are my Queen."? He drew her in for another kiss and was glad that the plan was finally settled.? If he lost his head for the love he had for this woman, then at least he would die a happy man.

“Of course, yes right.” She said as he pulled away from her. The loss of not being near him so profound. “I will go write that letter to the twins and Drusilla and be ready to leave shortly.” She said.??Turning away she went back into the closet to find herself something appropriate to wear on this journey but to also catalog?what she thought she might need.

(Draven)
Draven went to the dresser and got out a white t-shirt and then went to the closet himself to slip on a pair of pants.? He watched Anais as she went about figuring out what to pack.? After getting himself dressed he started doing the same thing.? "Anais, what colors do you think look best on me?"? He asked wanting her opinion of what she though he would look best in for this return to his home.? Sure he had his family's traditional colors which he would wear when needed, but he didn't care for them for all the time wear.

High Moon Tales. Tales of the Wicked West.

(Chase)
?
?Chase looked up to the newcomers that didn’t look all that new, the woman he remembered from the town back a ways. The man not so much but he had a different smell about him, that was something even to Chase’s sensitive nose from the smell of it the two were…together.
?
?
(Etienne Desante)
?
Etienne was about to head to the bar, when the woman smiled at her. “Hey Suga. It would appear that table I was going to put you at is all full. Sorry about that. Do you mind eating at the bar?”
?
Etienne smiled. “I will do you want better. How about I take my food to my room. Is that okay?” The waitress frowned.
?
“No that will never do.” She shook he head. And hooked her arms with Etienne, “Come with me. I have a special table for you.” She said leading her to a table near the window. Near the men who had been watching her. It was a small table meant for two.
?
?
[Sicilien]
?
?
?
(New Callie Carson)
Callie downed her whiskey shot and nodded to Sicilien. "I'm Callie Carson. This is Flynn.? We're looking for Miller's Crossing. We've had a bit of trouble trying to get there, however." She considered the fact they had all been drawn here and were apparently, somehow, supposed to meet up, so she continued."Seems as we try to travel to Miller's Crossing, we find ourselves back here in Bendo," said Callie. "Then there's this storm. It came out of nowhere and it resembles storms I've seen before -- storms that aren't normal, they aren't created by nature."She looked at Chase and Sicilian to gauge their reactions. Hopefully, if they knew something, they'd speak up...
?
So either you're the folks we're lookin' for, or you ain't. And if'n you ain't... then just who the hell are you?"
?
?
(New- Charity- Millers Crossing)
?
Charity looked up from her husband's attentions, suddenly alert. "Something's amiss, husband. Give us a moment, will you?" She stood, her lithe, dark skin glistening in the wan moonlight, and went to the window. As if seeing all the way to Bendo she peered into the dust cloud. "They're not together," she commented. "Perhaps they need a little help? Should I offer them a little help?" Charity chuckled softly, her laugh echoing like tinkling glass. Her hands began to move as if pulling strings, or perhaps a large spider plucking the threads of her web.....
?
(New- NPC Belligerent Ranchers - Bendo)
?
"Like I said, passin' strange, this storm," the old rancher repeated to his companions, several rough looking ranch hands. "Them five strangers rolled into town, an' now we're all holed up in this one chow hall wedged in like peas in a pod. I'm thinkin' maybe someone should do sumthin'." The other men at his table, the aformentioned 'riff-raff' grumbled again as he spoke.
?
"We're thinkin'," one of them said ominously, standing over the group, "that this here dust storm ain't natch'ral, see?" They all nodded and he continued, "an we're thinkin' it has sumthin doin' with the five of you."
?
Several more of the townsfolk stood then, some of them holdilg bottles, knives, of other improvised weapons. Others in the restaurant moved towards the walls.
?

-Rain-

He could tell he hit a nerve. "I would never choose money over you Ireland you know that..." She told him she was angry that he left. He just couldn't stand how everything that came up with Chord was his way or the highway...just because he had money. If that was what it was he could make his own money. He did but he didn't stop loving her. Dad and little brother left a light to be desired with his buttkissin' ways. Always wanted to be and seek approval it was
nauseating.

"...Fine. How are you doing? What have you been up too?" He paused.

"I have missed seeing you? When did you move back to the Pri...Mansion?" He was going to say 'prison'. But Ireland was right and he didn't want her to leave for family bashing his own family. He felt bad only cause she thought he wanted power and money over her, but that wasn't the case. She just saw dad's and Brandon's side over his own which meant it was the three of them...four of them against him, he could never forget Harrison. He didn't fit so he walked. But he missed her...he always did.

-Ireland-

“But you did, Rain. You chose money and power over all of us and now you act like Brandon and Dad are the villains because they don’t agree with you choices and they are vocal about. I don’t agree with it either. I don’t understand why you would turn you back on family to run with a bunch of ganstas, but it’s your life, Imma let you live it the way you want.” She said with a shrug.

When he said asked about the mansion she sighed. “I don’t live at home. I live on campus...or at least I did. Not sure now,” she said absentmindedly.

“Anyway. So what’s going on with you and that girl I saw you on insta with.”

Re: Port Vega: Time With Family.

?Rain was a god among men...he liked it that way. He didn’t see himself as having to abide by their weak assed rules. He did what he wanted when he wanted as long he stayed out of the limelight or left no witnesses. He was good. Today his boss-lady gave him a mission. It was a simple one, go get information. He got to see his baby sister so two birds one stone. Yeah, then he could go clubbing and kick it with her for a while maybe even take her shopping. Had she not been his sister, he could have easily made her his woman. She knew him and he knew her...most of the time anyway. He made sure she was well taken care of.?

Yeah, he had his moments of jealousy as she spent more time with the boy wonder, but juvenile needed her more than he did and besides that, he needed her safe away from him. He was the black sheep of the family but every family had one. He was special, he didn’t see why he couldn’t enjoy it. No reason not to reveal in the power that he had. Hell, it was stupid not too.

<<Hey beautiful, you got some time to spend with big bro? Pizza and shopping?>> He sent a text as he watched the dark-haired mocha woman walk by and he moved to catch up with her. He spoke with her for a few moments and made plans to see her later. He was still waiting for Ireland to text him, he wanted to spend time with her for a number of reasons. He was pretty sure she was going to try to get him to see Brandon. The weak assed daddy’s boy. He knew that was probably going to be what would make him want to leave her so he would steer clear of that topic of conversation for as long as possible. She was his heart and would always be...he would do anything for her..but that!!

Ireland was still shaken about what happened back at the compound. She couldn’t believe Daddio had actually...really...made her...God Brandon was going to hate her. She came into the restaurant and saw Rain at a back booth and slid in. “Hey,” She said giving him a hug.?

He hugged his baby sister deeply.? He then shifted quickly to a frown as she had that look on her face.? “What’s wrong?!?” He felt terrible when she hugged him somedays, he thought he had chosen money over her, but he hadn’t if he had he would have stayed under daddio’s thumb.? But he was his own man and he became that. But she couldn’t call and him not be there, he just couldn’t do that same roof thing with him and his love child.

She pulled back to look at him when he asked what was wrong. Nope...she wasn’t going to get sucked in “You don’t like talking about Brandon so we aren’t talking about Brandon. So what’s up. You said pizza and you take me to a steakhouse. That means you want something. So spill it.”

“Your brother...You can talk about him as much as you want.? I never stopped you from talking about him, besides it is obvious he is on your mind.? So tell me what has short dark and whiny done now?” He smirked as he took a drink that he had been given while waiting.

“Ouch...I am hurt to think I just wanted to take you out, we can go to pizza?? I just thought you might want to get away from kiddie food for a bit locked up in daddy’s world with his toys.”? ? He sometimes missed how observant Ireland was, she could see him or through him some days.

Ireland chuckled. “Yeah you are so hurt. I can tell.” She teased intending to tease him more but his words...put a fire in her belly.

“Alright that’s enough. So just Stop.” She said firmly. “I love my father and my brother just as much as I love you. You, rain. But turned your back on us, remember. You sought out money power and putting that over family. it wasn’t the other way around. It took be a bit to get over it and accept it but I did and respect you decision. But that doesn’t make the rest of us wrong. So stop being a major monument dick and quit your whining about Brandon and Dad or I’m walking.” She said her tone nonsense.

He knew she didn’t like when he talked bad about Brandon or Chord or Imme. And she’d be damn if she’d let him.

He could tell he hit a nerve. "I would never choose money over you Ireland you know that..." She told him she was angry that he left. He just couldn't stand how everything that came up with Chord was his way or the highway...just because he had money. If that was what it was he could make his own money. (Mikayla)

In the cold of night Mikayla ran. She needed to get back to her father....to her brothers...to Jon. She could not stay here.

?The wind had begun to pick up so high up into the mountains and she felt the biting wind cut at her flesh, but still she kept going.?

In the distance she could hear the howl...a howl that sounded like her name but she did not stop. She would not...

She simply couldn’t.

(The Dragon, Angus)

A large black hound came running up behind Mikayla, passing her and then planting itself in the middle of the path she'd been fleeing on, blocking her way.? It didn't growl at her however, or bare its teeth.? It simply stared up at her, a look of canine pleading in its eyes.? If she moved to the left or the right, it moved with her, continuing to block her path but at no point threatening her.? Now and then it lifted its head, as if gesturing in the direction she'd come from, and then looked at her expectantly, waiting.

??Mikayla –

Mikayla did not move. The dog wanted her to go back…to the castle…No. No! NO!

She frowned and shook her head. Mikayla stopped and did not take another step. “I don’t want to go back there.” She said to the hound. “I am sorry. He is rude and aggressive and obnoxious and I just want to go home. Please,” she said. Instinctively Mikayla just knew that animal could understand her.

Angus must have sent it. He was such a kind man. “Tell Angus.. That I respect him and understand he has a job to do which is why he sent you to me. But I am not going back. I can not be humiliated like that again.”

The wind had started to pick.. She stood there shivering. Her body growing cold as her hair whipped about her.?

(The Dragon, Angus)

The hound looked up at Mikayla with soulful brown eyes for a long moment. Finally, as if coming to a decision, it began to speak. The sound was decidedly strange, somewhere between human speech and a dog's gruff growling and whining. But it was speech. The hound was speaking to her.

"The master cannot help his nature," it said.? "It is a constant struggle for him, always keeping the beast in check.? But he was not trying to humiliate you.? He was _testing_ you. To see if you have the gift. And... apparently you do."

"But you stopped too soon," the hound went on urgently, "and left the spell you were reading unfinished. And you left him only half-done.? He is caught in-between now, and in enormous physical pain.? I _beg_ you, mistress.? Return with me to the keep." The animal turned to look back up the path, then looked back to her once again, eyes pleading.? "He needs you, mistress. And only you can help him."?

- Mikayla -

She blinked...then blinked again...she shook her head...no...no...it could not be...there just no way....

But it was happening to her. The hound....the creature... spoke to her...it....talked...to...her...?Mikayla opened her mouth to speak but it snapped shut just as quickly.

She shook her head. And blinked again. How in the hell....and it sounded like. “Angus?”?mentally this was too much for her to process...This day had been too much for her to understand..

She blinked once last time to fight off the dizziness it was no avail. Her eyes fluttered closed and then sink like stone in a dead faint

?(The Dragon, Angus)

The hound stared at the unconscious Mikayla for a moment, then let his head droop in the canine equivalent of a sigh.? He was strong for a dog, but dragging her back along the path to the keep was not an option.? But neither was leaving her here in the wild forest where she'd be vulnerable to any predator that came along. There was nothing for it then, he decided, though he dearly wished there were some other solution to the dilemma. ?

Closing his eyes inconcentration, the hound began reciting an incantation - one of the only two he knew - the only part of which was comprehensible was the three times he repeated his own name.? A green mist swirled up from the ground, glowing brightly as it enveloped him, and when it disappated moments later, Angus was restored to his human form, crouched on all fours on the ground by the unconscious young woman.? Stark naked, a fact which made him distinctly uncomfortable and not prone to dawdle. ?

Scooping Mikayla up from the ground in his arms, Angus started back up the path towards the keep, hoping that the girl would not awaken until they were back in the keep and even then not until he'd had a chance to clothe himself once again.

"Kansas City, Kansas or Kansas City, Missouri?? But I guess it wouldn't matter which, seeing as they're just a hop and a skip across," he mused.? When he was just about to speak again, the waitress came back around and brought them some grub, though he still didn't have his drink.? So when she sat the waters and the soup down, he pushed those aside in favor of the more beefier substances, so to speak - the biscuits, mashed potatoes and chicken.? Grabbing a fork, he stuffed his face full of food and swallowed the first bite, starting to feel just a bit more agreeable.? "As for myself, I hail from Hell's Hollow.? Aptly named, I s'pose, for having mines that stretch as deep into the earth as the mountains lick the sky high."

He paused for a bit, mulling over at the rest of what the man said.? Business, huh?? "Seems you and I are here for the same reasons, though I hadn't expected to have to hole up in this place.? No, my business takes me a bit ways away from here.? Miller's Crossing, have you heard of it?"? It made him think of how the train porter had reacted to his inquiry.? Strange as it may have been, it was just one man's answer, so he wasn't yet sure if he should've been rightly suspicious or not.? Since he's already began testing the waters, why not throw some bait in and see what bites?? He could already feel that someone's eyes were on him, but he gave no physical indication of such.? He did let his one orb meander a bit, continuing to scan the crowd, but it was no more than that of a man who was simply bored.

Callie nodded to the waitress, "Sure. We'll have a couple of whiskeys too."

She looked to Flynn and frowned, "Could use some water. We're going to have to get away from this place soon. Any chance you can work some magic on the water and make it safe for us to drink?"

(Flynn)

"I'm not sure if my kinda magic will work on whatever kind is bein' used to witch-up the water," Flynn said in a low voice as they headed towards the table. "There's a coupla things I can try, but don't touch the stuff until I give you the nod, okay?"?

"Evenin', gents," the pookah said to Chase and Sicilien when he and Callie reached the table, touching the brim of his hat as he spoke.? "I hope you don't mind if'n we join you.? The waitress steered us your way, sayin' they're short on seatin' due to the crowd. Besides..." he smiled lazily as he set his travel bag and gun case on the floor next to a chair and sat down "...I think we just might be expectin' each other."

(Charity- Millers Crossing)

?

"You know," Charity whispered softly to her husband, who was snoring softly and completely unaware, "the worst part about a sudden rain up here in the high plains is that it brings out so many of the dormant critters." She smashed a scorpion with her bare hand and laughed. "Especially once the morning sun warms up all of that moist, disturbed soil." She stood up, her nude form glistening in the moonlight from the window, and looked out towards the storm on the horizon over Bendo.

?

"Those poor people," she sighed. "all of those insects at once! Then the spiders, voles, snakes, lizards, and other critters that like to eat the insects, then foxes and coyotes," she turned to the bed where the Mayor still snored, "why, I wouldn't be surprised if a couple grizzlies show up to the party!"

?

Somewhere out on the plains a wolf howled. "See," she said, "the critters know. And all of that rotting human flesh too! I mean, if they drink the water anyway." She laughed then, and her husband stirred. "The warrior, paladin, magi, rogue, and maiden have gathered in one group. One strike." Her eyes glistened coldly like those of a snake, and out in the night a faint rattle drifted on the winds of the storm.

?

"Did you say something, Charity?" he asked softly.

?

"Yes," she replied, turning towards the bed with a cruel, toothy smile, "I said I'm in the mood again, make love to me."

?

"It's the next step, isn't it? You always get this way just before you take the next step. Will we be opening another sipapu and building another kiva?" he asked as Charity melted into his arms.

?

"Ohhhh," she moaned as if in ecstasy already, her mind already reaching out to the creatures of the plains, "yesss."

(NPC Rancher - Bendo)

?

"Passin' strange, this storm," the old man said to his companions. "Come up just as them five strangers rolled into town an' met up. I'm thinkin' maybe one thing led to another, yup." The other rough ranch workers grumbled in unison, nodding their heads. "Got the feel of sumthin' weird is all," he glared at the table where Sicilien and Chase were sitting as Callie and Flynn approached. "An' just now there they are a-meetin' up." The other men looked over, mumbling between themselves. "All they need is that girl." In unison the band of burly men all took a sip of water from their cups and looked around the room for Etienne.

(Chase)

Chase looked up to the newcomers that didn’t look all that new, the woman he remembered from the town back a ways. The man not so much but he had a different smell about him, that was something even to Chase’s sensitive nose from the smell of it the two were…together.? His eyes narrowed as the man said they might be expecting each other.? He didn’t like that but he wondered if that was what the woman back there was taking about.? ‘Five…she gave each one of them a name a point of familiarity almost like chess pieces.? “Chase is my name…why might we be…expecting each other?” he asked just wondering as he nodded to acknowledge the both of them.

(Etienne Desante)

Etienne was about to head to the bar, when the woman smiled at her. “Hey Suga. It would appear that table I was going to put you at is all full. Sorry about that. Do you mind eating at the bar?”

Etienne smiled. “I will do you want better. How about I take my food to my room. Is that okay?” The waitress frowned.

“No that will never do.” She shook he head. And hooked her arms with Etienne, “Come with me. I have a special table for you.” She said leading her to a table near the window. Near the men who had been watching her. It was a small table meant for two.

[ new Sicilien]

Sicillien was midbite when he noticed a couple of space invaders approaching them.? Two men was already too many at his table, an addition of a third one wasn't any more welcome than the second.? Once the man spoke, however, he moved to the side to set down his effects, and then another shape materialized behind him...a woman.? Though the waitress said he should've expected someone of the female persuasion, he wondered if he was yet taken for a fool thrice more since she was with a companion.? They seemed to have some familiarity with each other though.? He noticed them walking close together, so they must be companions of a sort.? He took note that Chase was eyeing them with just as much of a suspicion, though he did not hesitate to introduce himself.? May as well follow suit.

"I'm Sicillien, and I definitely was not expecting any of you.? I seem to be attracting all sorts of riff-raff tonight.? No offense, Chase," he said, tilting his head slightly at his table companion's side.? He looked back at the man and woman before him, leaning back as he picked off a tiny string of sinew from between his teeth with his pinky nail, making a small "tch!" sound as he sighed in relief.? "To what or whom do we owe the pleasure of our company tonight, lady and gent?"

Port Vega: Time With Family.

开云体育

Rain was a god among men...he liked it that way.

Peace and blessings?

Elusive Capture: Beaches. Andrew/贰惫辞苍别’

贰惫辞苍别’

She looked up at him.”you do?” She said and threw herself in his arms “I’m so glad.” She kissed his cheek and pulled back.

??“I’m sorry. I’m...my mind is a bit foggy. I think there may have been something in my food. I’m trying to understand what’s going on. And Lucas said you didn’t want me. That I was just a novelty to you because you were a pirate...and then you said you would stay away from me...I’m glad you want me. I want you too...I just need sometime. Just a little time to get my head on straight. Okay.”

?(Andrew)

?"I understand, my love," Andrew said gently, chastely kissing the top of Evone's head.? "Take all the time you need.? I'm not going anywhere."? He glanced down at the place on the beach where the Elusive was being repaired.? "Not at the moment, anyway.? But when the ship has been made ready again, we will both be going together, to whatever shore you choose." He took her hands in his.? "And wherever that may be, I will not leave your side."

?"Oh, one other things," the captain of the Elusive added, his eyes glinting impishly, "despite what that loathsome husband of yours may have told you, I am _not_ a pirate.? I'm a smuggler.? I take things _to_ people, not _from_ people."? He wanted to tell her more, but thought it better not to. Not just yet, at least. Give her time to get properly on her feet once again, he told himself, before you show her just what other hats you wear.

?- Evone' –

?She wrapped her arms around him and sighed. Hugging him tight, taking in his scent. It was good to be with him again. In the arms of someone who loved and cared for her. That pain hit her heart when she thought of Lucas. She thought he had loved her…he didn’t. He only married her for…what? Her money? She didn’t have any money. Her father did. Did he marry her for her father’s money?

?They had been married for five years now. Was this all a trick? Did he set up this trip to do this from the very beginning? The thought pained her. And she had to blink back tears…god she was crying again. She hated to cry. She would be glad when whatever they gave her wore off.

贰惫辞苍别’ smiled at his clarification. “Thank you for clearing that up. But I think you most definitely are a pirate as well.” At his puzzled look she said “because you have taken my heart from me and I do not want it back.” Then her eyes went very serious. “Please do not break it. I do not think I would survive is you do.”

(Callum)

Callum returned Kirstene's wry smile with one of his own.? "Was it here, d'ye think?" he asked, following after her until he was able to slip an arm around her waist and pull her close.? "Was it here that we made this little one?" He glanced down at where her belly was just starting to show a visible bulge, then looked up again, a teasing twinkle in his eyes.? "As ah recall, we did get carried away a bit here, out of sight of the others. And more than once if truth be told." Leaning close, the young lord nuzzled his wife's neck gently.? "Ye were a fetchin' sight, clothed in moonlight and naught else, like a bold fairy come to lure me away with yer enticin' charms."

?- Kirstene -

Draven)

He didn’t like that Sa’id felt he would need to speak to her again if he agreed.? That was his choice.

“Well, yes, some.? You and Sa’id have both made it very clear that your husband will see you as his and will, well, kill me for you, not said in so many words.? I had come up with a plan of my own.” He said as he let go of her hands and went to the bundle. “I can hide my feelings for you if I need to.? I spoke with the captain and he let me borrow some of his crew’s clothing. I was planning on appearing as one of the crew and being an escort of your belongings and being presented as your hired hand.? If you think your plan is better than mine and feel it would be better to just be upfront with the man, then I agree. What do you say?” He was willing to play it anyway that she wished.

?

Khadashee

Khadashee smiled at him. “You beautiful handsome man. Have I ?told today how much I love you.” She said kissing him deeply.?

“First I want to say thank you for going through all the trouble you are going through right now. However the fact remains that I do not think I can, ?nor do I want to hide my feelings for you. Once upon a time I belonged to my husband whole heartedly. I gave him all that I was. And he chose to discard in the heinous of fashion. He wanted me to suffer. And for five long years I did. And then the gods gave me you. And I am so happy. I have no intention of hiding that happiness. Or pretending that love does not exist. ?I plan to walking in my lands holding your hand and telling my people who you are to me. And how I came to know you. And I will fight Bakari if he makes it so that I have to. I will fight him.”

She placed her hand on his cheek. “I just want you to be comfortable. Tell me what you think I should, Captain. I need your advice.”
