Liza had watched the youth simply shut down in a way that reminder her of a robot that suddenly needed to be rebooted. With a shrug she went to the phone on the wall and made a call. A little while later, Gen was tucked into a bed in a private room. His foot wear had been removed and his hoodie, but otherwise he was fully clothed and would find himself snuggled into a comfy bed with fresh cotton sheets.

Donny shook his head and gave a slight chuckle, ¡°you¡¯re full of shit. First, it is Ms. Mia and if she had heard such a thing she would come and find me herself.¡± He dropped his arms at that point and moved to a nearby stump that had his water bottle on it. He took a few swallows before reasking his question, this time a little more relaxed. ¡°So, who are you and why did you come to seek me, of all people here, out?¡±

Gen woke.? It took a moment for him to orient himself in the unfamiliar surroundings.? He remembered coming to the building, being invited inside, eating, and then collapsing from exhaustion. He also remembered the girl called Liza. Could he trust her, he wondered?? Probably.? If she was going to turn him in, she'd just had hours of opportunity to do so but instead had just let him sleep undisturbed.

"Good... morning?" Gen said uncertainly.? He glanced over at the window for confirmation but it could've been morning or afternoon or evening for all he could tell.? His stomach chose that moment to rumble embarrassingly.? "Uhm, I hate to ask, but is there anything to eat on hand?" The androgyne shrugged in apology.? "Because of the way I was designed, I'm kinda hypermetabolic.? I need it to fuel all of the different things my body can do."

"I'm Roddy," he began.? "Don't ask me what it's short for.? And I came to seek you because Liza told me you were around and nobody else seems to be." He rolled his eyes as he added "I assure you it wasn't because I heard you had a charming personality.? And even if you did, I'm not queer for guys so it wouldn't matter anyway."

"I would prefer to capture and disarm versus kill and maiming has to play a roll, so be it." She tapped on the mic to communicate to the team where the shooter was an which direction they were heading.

Diego made his way to one of the rooms and went through to the windows. Once there he stepped outside onto the fire escape, then measured the distance to the ground. Once sure he could drop without hurting himself, he climbed up onto the railing, then dropped to the ground below. He knew where the stair well excited and made his wait outside the door. If the shooter continued to the street level it was the only way for them to get out.

Ari, Shooter

The shooter made it to street level when they saw the werewolf. ¡°You know, it doesn¡¯t have to be your say to die.¡±

As the shooter was squaring off with the wolf, Ari came up behind them. ¡°Or you can stand down and no one has to get hurt,¡± ?he said holding the gun at the back of the shooter.

He didn't except the offered hand, but crossed his arms over his chest instead, "Yeah, I am Donny. Who sent you out here and why?" He was always a little stand offish until he knew the person was safe to know.

Roddy blinked, then folded his arms as well, mimicking Donny's movement.? Usually he was the one giving attitude, and despite his promise to behave himself he couldn't resist throwing some of it back.? "Mia sent me out here.? Grabbing her jacket, Del headed out.? She was planning just to wander randomly.? Her ability to sense mutant powers in others usually worked best when her mind was clear and she wasn't actually looking at all.? The park and some of the less crowded streets were her preferred rounds, but sometimes she picked up tingles in the most surprising places, like sports arenas and concert stadiums.? She concentrated on clearing her mind and letting the world flow around her, walking leisurely among the occasional passers-by, like a fish making its way through very still waters.

The music changed from jazz to something a bit more to Scarlett¡¯s liking and the dark-skinned woman began to sway with her.

¡°I love it when you get all naughty, My Pet,¡± Tempest said pulling Scarlett¡¯s head back. She took a long swig of the bloodline then kissed Scarlett, letting the liquid flow from her mouth into the shapely redhead¡¯s all the while her hands roaming all over the taller woman¡¯s body. ¡°It makes me want to do all kind of equally naughty things to you.¡±

The shooter went down, The goal was to get to the street. Once on the street, they could take off into the shadows. Lucky the werewolf had stop following that was good. But it made them wonder if there was something else lurking and waiting.

Roddy found the outdoor workout area without a problem.? And as Misty had said, there was only one person there.

"So, you're Donny, then?" he asked, stepping towards the strapping youth who appeared to be practicing some martial arts forms.? Roddy didn't know any martial arts himself, but he'd seen plenty of kung-fu/karate movies.? Enough to recognize the moves, anyways.? "I'm Roddy," he said, extending his hand.? "I'm new here."

"Well, we need more students," Del said, gesturing at the layout of the Academy grounds.? "What we have is a start, but we need to fill all of these dorms.? No one really cares if it's just a handful of kids nobody knows that gets shoved around, especially in the media.? But get enough kids to turn this place into a scene from one of those young mutant superhero movies that were so popular a few years back and they'll start to care."

She looked to her lover with serious intent.? "It's good that we get occasional finds from the police and other LEO's, but we need more.? And we need to find them before they end up in real trouble.? So I want to go out and see if I can find them before that happens.? And before anyone else does."
