Gen went to his closet, rummaged through it quickly and brought out the clothes he'd been wearing the first time Kat had seen him.? Setting them on the bureau, the androgyne stripped off the clothes he'd been given, folded them neatly and then left them in a stack, seemingly uncaring about being naked in front of the cat-girl.? He then quickly dressed in his old clothes, talking as he did so.

"Good luck with Chord," Gen said, pulling up his pants and buttoning them. "Maybe you can change his mind about things." He picked up a small beat-up backpack and slung it over his shoulder.? "This is all I came here with, and all I'm leaving with.? I'm heading back to the last place I was staying." He hesitated, then shrugged.? "It's an abandoned lighthouse out in the harbor.? You can see it from the shore if you know where to look. If you need to find me, I'll be there. At least some of the time anyway."? He hesitated yet again, unfamiliar emotions working their way across his face. "You can tell Kites too," he said finally. "In case he ever wants to find me."

The androgyne smiled wistfully and gave Kat another hug. "It was nice meeting you.? I... I wish we'd had a chance to get to know each other better.? Good luck with everything."
