E400MMC 11125 (PHE 692) has been repainted from it's Platinum Jubilee back in to, perhaps surprisingly (as I thought it had been discontinued), the Stagecoach Gold livery. A new service running between Chatsworth House and Bakewell has been registered to operate on weekends and Bank Holidays between 22nd July and 3rd September.? Perhaps the service number - OT1 - may be a clue as to why Open Top Trident/ALX400 18467 (LX55 EPV) arrived at Chesterfield from East Midlands a few weeks ago...? Ian? |

4 Trident/ALX400s have joined the fleet on loan from Stagecoach Cumbira & North Lancs and will remain until the new E400MMCs are delivered later in the year.? They are 18330 (MX05 WJA), 18356 (MX55 KPG), 18364 (MX55KPT) and 18381 (MX55 KRU) and are to be split between Chesterfield and Ecclesfield depots. As they do not comply with the Sheffield CAZ they should not be seen in central Sheffield - their use at Ecclesfield being confined (in theory!) to the 72 and 201. Stagecoach Yorkshire 37186
Chesterfield's E200 37186 (YY64 GUA) has been repainted in to a version of North Western Road Car's red/cream livery to mark the centenary of the company.
Despite the "North West" name the company had depots in Matlock and Buxton, towns served today by Chesterfield depot. Ian |

Indeed - many cascades planned within Stagecoach with over 200 new vehicles being delivered over the next 12 months or so.? Things such as the MANs and early E400s are now on borrowed time... The other point is - in my humble view - this CAZ is a bit of a nonsense.? It only covers the area within the inner ring road in Sheffield.? Thus one could if you so wished, sit in the car park of Waitrose which is right next to the boundary of the CAZ revving the nuts of your old 'polluting' vehicle and some how, magically, those nasty gasses your vehicle emits will know not to enter the CAZ and instead will blow off in the opposite direction... Forgot to add yesterday - also in connection with the Sheffield Clean Air Zone the Optare Solos which were at Ecclesfield have moved on - initially to Chesterfield - and as such the work in Sheffield the Solos previously covered (the 61/62 Hillsborough to Bradfield runs) are now being operated by E200s. I imagine there¡¯ll be a fair?few fleet changes over the coming months, with the 20 E400MMCs for Holbrook, and the Electric Yutongs for Rawmarsh, that will hopefully improve the fleet at all Yorkshire depots.?
