Stagecoach Yorkshire 11/06
Further recent repaints in to the new Stagecoach livery at Chesterfield are Scania/E400 15828 (YN12 GYT) and MAN/E300 22647 (YN58 CEY).
The latter is the first MAN/E300 locally (and possibly nationally?) to receive the new livery. Scania/E400 15646 (SF10 CDO) is next in line for a repaint. Ian |
Stagecoach Yorkshire 08/06
Hi all A quick update on recent activities: During the Covid19 service reductions the paintshop at Chesterfield cracked on with repaints in to the new livery of Chesterfield-based deckers - 15644/5 (SF10 CDK/N) and 15829 (YN12 GYU) have all now returned to service following their repaints. From last Monday the service levels stepped up again, with the majority of the fleet returning to the road.? Rather than listing what has returned, it's easier to list what hasn't (and thus anything not on the list that was running prior to the Covid19 reductions is now back in traffic).? Vehicles not yet back in use are: OmniDekka 15414 E400s 19510/11 MAN/ALX300s 22438/45 MAN/E300s 22539/42/43/57/60/62/63, 22631/6/48/50/51 E200MMC 26084 Darts 34722, 35109/10/15/16/227/9-34/36/61/62 E200 36460, 36719-26, 36987-90/4-7 Solos 47319/25, 47723/4 Ian |
Stagecoach Yorkshire 19/05
Some additional services were re-introduced from yesterday, which has nudged up the PVRs at all depots slightly.? As such, extra vehicles have started to return to traffic.? I won't list them here, as the majority of the fleet is now being prepared for a return to service with additional increases in services (and thus PVR) coming over the next few weeks,?so it is likely the majority of the fleet will be back in service by the end of this month. Due to social distancing measures, the average capacity of vehicles will be 20 for deckers, 11 for single deckers, 10 for midibuses and 7 for minbuses (though if passengers?are from the same household and can therefore sit next to each other these can be slightly higher).? All vehicles have been programmed with "sorry, bus full due to social distancing" type destination screens. Ian |

To operate the XPO special services (below) E400s 19512/3 and 19560 have returned to service at Barnsley depot, with Scania/E400s 15711/3 back on the road at Ecclesfield. Rawmarsh received E200MMC 26030 back from the paintshop (in the new livery) to essentially give them the extra vehicle for their XPO run. This year's Supertram Rail Replacement work
This year's SuperTram Rail Replacement work is going ahead as planned, despite the COVID19 situation. Work this year is focussed on the section between City and Halfway, starting on Monday and planned to run through to late September.
The first phase is for around 4 weeks and will result in no trams running between Birley and Halfway. Due to the current guidance on the use of public transport and the very low number of passengers at present no rail replacement bus services are being introduced at present. Local bus services (8, 80 and 120) provide sufficient alternatives. Ian |

Yep, I found the middle?chrome yellow on craftmaster paints, but as you say, the quantity is well beyond what would be needed for a model bus, and justifying ?30 for one colour for a model bus is pricey. ?It¡¯s the green I¡¯m really struggling with, if I knew the name/code I could digitally compare with other greens on the market without having to spend money on the pots/cans.? I have also tried Phoenix paints, I ordered the Lincoln green but it¡¯s far too dark for the Terrier livery, Thanks James? A few updates to the below: At Chesterfield, 15336 remains off the road so should be removed from the list below, and replaced with 22627. E200MMC 26084 is also now out of use, replaced by 36992. From this coming Monday 4 new temporary services will be introduced under contract to XPO Logistics to get their employees to/from their warehouse at Grimethorpe. Hi all I'm still playing catch-up a little, so apologies if this is old news. Stagecoach East Midlands - Gainsborough depot
Hi all For info - SEM have closed their Gainsborough depot for the duration of the Coronavirus outbreak. Some of the Gainsborough allocation has transferred to neighbouring depots along with some of the work - Scunthorpe and Lincoln depot are covering the InterConnect 100 (Scunthorpe - Gainsborough - Lincoln) and Worksop depot are covering the Retford - Gainsborough and Retford - Doncaster workings. Stagecoach Yorkshire 06/04
There is to be a further reduction in services from Wednesday to meet the current (lack of) demand owing to Coronavirus.?
Those services currently running will be reduced largely to an hourly operation, with a few exceptions (those services already running a lower frequency will remain so, the 52/88/120 in Sheffield will be largely at a 30 minute frequency, and the X10 is reduced to 5 round trips per day).? Services X1 (Chesterfield- Nottingham) and X6 (Sheffield- Doncaster/Sheffield Airport) are withdrawn until further notice.? Ian |
Stagecoach Yorkshire - allocation changes and coronavirus update
A bit of a bumper update - probably my last one for a while due to the current climate... First up, recent repaints in to the new Stagecoach livery are Scania/E400s 15824/5 (YN12 GYO/P) and E200 36183 (YN60 FKU).? Currently in for painting is E200MMC 26030 (YX65 RBZ). The recorded allocation changes for the 4 weeks ending 28th March 2020 (Period 12) were as follows: 22627 YN08 JHH RH to CD 22629 YN08 JFJ RH to CD 35262 YN56 SHJ CD to BY * 36071 SN56 AYF BY to CD 36986 SN63 YPJ CD to RH 36989 SN63 YPM CD to RH 36990 SN63 YPO CD to RH * 35262 has yet to physically move from Chesterfield, and is unlikely to do so now for some time due to the current circumstances Obviously since the end of the reporting period a large number of vehicles have been parked up and SORN as operations move to a permanent Sunday service (with a few enhancements) for the foreseeable future. The following lists are the vehicles currently operational.? Everything else is parked up: Barnsley (PVR reduced from 72 to 36): 10656-62, 15661-4/6, 19559, 22632/6/8, 26020-2/85-7, 27187/8/206, 28671-4, 36178/80/83, 37108/45, 37451-6, 47723/4/6/7. Rawmarsh (PVR reduced from 50 to 21): 26023-33, 2675-8, 36988/90, 37086-91/98-105. Ecclesfield (PVR reduced from 52 to 26): 15707-11, 36186-8, 36459, 36715-8, 36985, 39106-18, 47464/9, 47654. Holbrook (PVR reduced from 42 to 25): 12101-7, 12166-77/9, 37606-15. Chesterfield (PVR reduced from 80 to 45): 11120-5, 15190-2, 22554/5, 22612-4/27-30/35/43-7, 26081-4, 35229-33/61/2, 36071, 36444-7, 36991/3, 37181-6, 47320/2-5. National Express unit (PVR reduced from 9 to 1): 54411/2 The above liable to change depending how long the coronavirus pandemic lasts.?? Much respect to the drivers still on the road, to the office/depot staff who have worked flat out to formulate and implement the temporary timetables and keep the wheels turning, and to the drivers who have stood down for the foreseeable. Covid19 / Bus Service Reductions
Afternoon all
I gather both Stagecoach Yorkshire and First South Yorkshire (with presumably others to confirm the arrangements in due course) are to drop down to a operating a Sunday service (with additional am peak extras) on all days from Monday. First have already parked up numerous vehicles - all the remaining B7Ls and the majority of the remaining B7TLs - for the foreseeable future. Likewise, Stagecoach have parked up a number of Tridents, MANs and E200s. Stay safe everyone Ian |
Stagecoach Yorkshire - revised service
From Monday, and in view of the Corona virus pandemic, services will operate to their Saturday timetables on all routes, with a few exceptions (those being the 107 in Rotherham, 7a, 58 and M92 in Sheffield, and the Matlock Town services where no Saturday service exists - these will operate as normal).
Other operators are expected to implement similar changes from Monday. Ian |
