David All Messages By This Member #2906 Hi Derek, Most people who have not died by 2000 are closed. Any that are open are exceptions. Normally you can only request a person be open if you can prove that they are deceased, but as I have found there are many exceptions, why? I presume its part of the 100 year closure rule that applies to censuses...the assumption being that few people named in them will still be alive when they are released.?
