Replacing a brass frame on a Bowser H9s ??

Henry,

Are the holes close, or way off? If close, a small round needle file can elongate the hole in question for a bit less effort (arguably) than making a new cover.

I've had a couple of Bowser brass cover plates (my H9s models come to mind) where the holes were slightly off from where they should have been....perhaps an error in the stamping/cutting process?

I may make my own cover ? The old brass one does not line up .. The cover hold down / truck purchase and the spring holder don't come close to fastening ! I'm looking for my Quarterer which should be next old faithful ????? As always ,? Henry
