Just came across this on Ebay. A while back someone had asked about possible kit-bash projects for the Mantua Mike. This loco looks really close. Ebay # 200873760782

This looks like Denny's work. (cwrailman). ?He is a regular here as well as the Repower and Regear forums. ?He does really good work. Regards,? Vic Bitleris Raleigh, NC To: yardbirdtrains@... From: jppellas@... Date: Fri, 4 Jan 2013 14:15:36 +0000 Subject: [yardbirdtrains] Mantua Mike project ?

Yes, this is a very nice Mantua kitbash. ?It has a can motor, but looks like the original gearing. ?A lot of additional details were added on this one. Regards,? I was looking more closely at the Mike thinking that the boiler might be from a Mantua pacific with a new brass cab, smoke box door plus all the other changes but now I don't think so. I'm thinking the boiler is all brass? What about that extra piping going up the right side of the loco to the front end and ending in front of the stack? Would appear to be exhaust for a booster but there is no booster unit on the rear loco truck or on the tender. The tender is a plastic Bachmann, by the way.?

开云体育Looking at the sides of the fire box I would say it’s a cast boiler not a brass part. Possibly a Cary? ? John Hagen ? From: yardbirdtrains@... [mailto:yardbirdtrains@...] On Behalf Of Jeff Pellas
