thanks

Yes, I have Firefox and so far have opened up several of my favorite RR groups on it in the old format.

Yes, it works for all Yahoo groups. It will put an icon in the add-on bar at the bottom of the FF window, and has a lot of options to explore if you care to.

Here's a clickable link.?

Just click the install link at the top of the page and follow the prompts.

Again, thanks for the welcoming messages As I stated in my profile I am a retired RR'er. I spent approx half of my rr time as a Diesel Locomotive Electrician, the other half of my time as a Technician and a Electrical Engineer. I very much enjoyed playing with my trains at 12' to the foot scale. I have worked on diesels from F7's to GP60's and "U" Boats from U-25" to newer P-42". My modelling started 30 + years ago, but job and family priority's occupied most of my time. Over the years I have acquired and built Mantua models, Mikes, Pacifics, Hudsons, Shifters and Loggers. I am a kit basher at heart. I build equipment for my freight RR, the " Lazy Sick and Frustrated". This RR came into existence while working for Conrail in the late 70's and early 80's. Then about 2003 I started my logging operation The "Toad Suck Lumber Co.". My ultimate goal in to enjoy modelling and not take myself too seriously.

That's a dirty shame that Yahoo is so messed up ? I switched to gmail because it kept getting "strange" ? Henry

What is different is that you can't go directly to the page via a link like you used to be able to do. They've added another layer (of BS) to go through. This new "Layer" is a generic page that everyone is directed to that has some generic photo (which has nothing to do with the content of the page itself). The new page then tells you to sign in before proceeding to the actual group page. Once you sign in, the group page itself is the same. You used to be able to go to the page itself and see some of the content without signing in to Yahoo first. Not any longer.

Hi All,

It looks like Yahoo fixed something that was not broken, and broke it in
the process. The Yahoo group home pages look awful. I tried several RR
group home pages and they have changed substantially. I never saw an
announcement either.

Is it me, or is Yahoo going through some changes. From this end it appears
to be radically different than it was last week. Since this is the ONLY
place I ever visit with Yahoo, I may have missed some announcement.
ThanksKarl B
