Re: PRACUTIONS AND TIPS BEFORE RE SWITCHING ON
Before you start cleaning, check with an oscilloscope or an audio probe, whether there is sound at the input of the volume potentiometer.

Re: PRACUTIONS AND TIPS BEFORE RE SWITCHING ON
Hello Raj, then the issue is NOT(!) the patches lost. And quite likely it is not the battery. Since you seem to be from Mauritius my first suspicion is based on the the sea climate: corroded jacks

Re: LFO Speed in BPM and some LFO tricks
P.S. I have similar tables for Yamaha FB01, DX100/21/27/TX81Z etc. and Reface DX. Somewhere hidden in my messy harddisk archives. The LFO speed range from the FB01 is insane if I remember correctly

Re: LFO Speed in BPM and some LFO tricks
Some more notes about BPM and LFO speed from Daniel's table: 1. Depending on the rhythmical effect you want to obtain it can be required to multiply or divide the BPM number by a whole number like 2

Re: PRACUTIONS AND TIPS BEFORE RE SWITCHING ON
Hi Raj, it won't be the battery I think or you'd have lost all your patches. Try headphones first than maybe check a patch to make sure the operators aren't set to 0 output. Brian.

Re: LFO Speed in BPM and some LFO tricks
Yes, this is general fact. But I suppose he wants to know the relation between DX7 parameter value and BPM, Hz, msec. Here is a table¡ Daniel Forr¨®

Re: LFO Speed in BPM and some LFO tricks
LFO is measured in cycles per second (Hz). 60 seconds in a minute, so: One cycle per second (Hz) = 60 BPM Therefore LFO x 60 = BPM BPM/60 = LFO Hz 120BPM/60 = 2hz Sent: Wednesday, April 17, 2024 2:40

Re: Need help identifying DX7 front panel screws (1st)
Given where it was designed and built, ALL screws on the DX-7 will be metric, not imperial.

Re: Need help identifying DX7 front panel screws (1st)
FYI in case anyone was wondering, I ended up having success with #6 3/8¡± length stainless steel 18-8 sheet metal screws to fasten the DX7 mk1 front panel to the side cheeks. Eg from bolt depot:
