¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Rob,Good question! It¡¯s a great rig but as you know it¡¯s also older technology. Personally, I would start with the user¡¯s manual. It has a pretty complete description of how to use the FT847 in satellite mode. I would print out the pages in the satellite chapter and probably also the chapter on memory operation if you haven¡¯t used the memory functions so that you have the info in front of you as you set up the rig. If you don¡¯t have a manual let me know via email (either call is good in QRZ) and I can send you a pdf. My mint condition 847 is retired and sitting on a shelf as a backup rig now that I have the 7300/9700 pair so once you get the basic set up going someone else who is actively using the rig may be in a better position to assist you with any tweaks that my be helpful specifically for the ISS. Good luck working the ¡°birds¡± and cheers from an American ham of 58 years living in France.
