Re: Commander from dx suites
Hi Sandor, I received the port adapter and also the cable from the vendor of the radio, who reports he had it working before he mailed it to me. I believe, since it was functional, it must be a null

Re: Commander from dx suites
Gerald, DxLab's can control the freq, volume, and a couple other things and that's about it. If you do some digging there is a free version of HRD (v5.24) floating around that WILL do SAT Mode and

Re: Commander from dx suites
I have the cable from RT systems to program and read the radio but I can not get HRD to connect to it. I was also unable to get DX labs to hook up either. Has to be something in the settings on the

Re: Null cable
Good morning I found out why I couldn¡¯t get commander or hrd to work on my 847. I purchased an early model and it didn¡¯t allow two way cat control. They apparently did offer a firmware upgrade

Re: Null cable
I was looking at an early model with this issue. Yaesu said it is more than just firmware. It required a board change. They did offer the fix but no sadly more.

Re: Null cable
There is a mod somewhere I saw that you can change the comm port but the $3.00 adapter is a cheaper easier option. Sandor KG4FET KAG! Promises made, Promises kept

Re: CAT CONTROL Software???
I use my FT-847 for satellite exclusively. I use CAT control for automatic doppler shift frequency control. I use PSTRotator software for that and Omni-Rig software as well. Joe KE9AJ Sent from Mail

Re: CAT CONTROL Software???
I use the RT Systems programming cable (Windows 10) which also works for CAT control using SatPC32. You have to set Menu #37 to 9600 bps for SatPC32 to work. You have to reset Menu #37 to 19200bps ( I

Re: CAT CONTROL Software???
Gary Early model 847¡¯s did not have bidirectional CAT control by design from yaesu and therefore could not communicate with CAT software. YAESU realized this issue and later model 847¡¯s were
