Hi All, I have one little problem with my 847.the MEM/VFO CH rotary seems dirty.... i.e. it jumps around in frequency sometimes when I turn it. Would it be safe to start spraying switch cleaner at it?

I repaired one of the shafts successfully by printing a D-shaped insert (the whole shaft is hollow) and gluing it in place. Perfect repair. Thanks for the help guys! Brad, N7IVV

They make parts that will not stick to epoxy because most people do not usually try. I would have drilled the inner out and used a bit of wire or a tiny diameter screwthread as a dowel before trying
