Re: GRRAA Christmas Food List Sign-Up
Thanks, everyone, for all you did to make our Christmas lunch such a great club party on Saturday.??
Here is the cheese bread recipe that a couple people requested.??
Pull Apart Cheese Rolls
Makes 48
Rolls:?(Can substitute Rhodes frozen dough or premade pizza dough)
3 TB yeast
1 ? cups warm milk
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 ? tsp. salt
3 eggs
6 cups flour
Dissolve yeast in warm milk.?
Mix sugar, butter, salt & eggs in a mixer.?
Then add milk & yeast and mix.
Work in flour & knead 8-10 minutes.?
Cover with towel and let rise in bowl 2 hours.? I put this in the oven that has been slightly warmed with the heat turned off.
?
Punch down dough.? Roll out half of dough to approximately 9 x 13 size or until about ?” thick.? Cut into 12 squares, then each square into 2 triangles, for 24 pieces.
?
Filling:
Italian seasoning
12 mozzarella cheese sticks
?
Cut each cheese stick into 4 pieces.? Sprinkle each triangle with Italian seasoning and put on a cheese piece.? Bring dough around cheese making into a ball shape.? Place seam side down close together (sides touching) on parchment paper on a cookie sheet or
in greased baking dish.? Repeat with the other half of dough.
?
Cover and let rise 1 hour.
?
Topping:
1 egg
1 TB water
Parmesan cheese
Garlic salt
Dried parsley
?
Mix egg and water and lightly brush onto the rolls (you won’t use it all).? Then sprinkle with parmesan, garlic salt and parsley.
?
Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes.? Serve with marinara sauce if desired.
