I looked at this radio, and it needs some work.

It is missing 3 tubes and the speaker is torn in a couple of places.

I'm a member of VRPS.org and have a friend in Belgrade, MT with a 1946 Philco 38-4 console radio.

He is willing to donate or give it away to anyone that would pick it up. It's in a decent, restorable condition.
