I have had thousands of FT8 contacts from at least 4 different DXCC countries.? In fact I remember the week that FT8 became publicly available, because I had just came back from Haiti, and it was only available for developers.? We had a big 6m setup (and? 4M for Europe) on the north coast of Haiti, but we were using JT65 and CW because FT8 wasnt yet public.

I use WJST and JTDX? ?For Radio I selected K3? 8 N 1? ? CAT? ?USB? Rig? ?38400

I am not using a radio, just a computer.

On RCForb, I select K3 Emulation and use virtua; audio cables for Mic and Speaker

I am far from an expert and nearing 80 years of age, I am not getting any closer.!

Setup works on all RCForb remotes regardless of radio.

Same as Robert.? So far the only way is to hit the TX button on the remote manually to code then turn it off to decode.

Are we only using FT*8 for digital at the moment or can we still use psk-31 or cw? I'm in a quandry right now where I don't have a mic for my computer and due to corona and work slowdowns, I am just scraping by month to month. So naturally getting a mic is not in my foreseeable future. Also in looking into it there is a really bad availability of electronics in the stores right now. Any mic I were to order would be a 2 to 3-week ship to here That eliminates phone operation for me entirely. I listened to some CW on the remote and the terminal window on the remote did not copy it very well at all. As far as ft-8 goes and someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I may be confused with another mode but I thought that FT-8 requires a precise timing sequence between stations to work properly. I was thinking that the lag time from the remote (radio) to the user would throw that off? I have been out of the game for the past 3 or 4 years so I have a lot of relearning to do. Thanks All.
